Why have somebody on your friend list if you wouldn't want them to see what you post anyways?

TheNewEraIcon

There are plenty of reasons why you might have them as a friend but not want them to see particular status updates.

  • Could be a coworker, you complain about work but don't want your coworkers to know lest you getting in trouble at work.
  • You might unleash a tirade of swears but not want some of your more conservative friends to see you so unhinged
  • Could be your mother and you don't want her to see the pics of you drunk last night :P

In any case, this is false anyways. As stated previously, it just says "custom" doesn't list the specific people the status is being hidden from.

I've only ever gotten 3 PMs... one was a moderation I don't particularly agree with and the other two were from random people who msged the wrong person.

I desperately need to move out of my parents house as they create a toxic environment that is really close to dragging me down with them. Unfortunately I'm 25 000 in debt from student loans still so I dont have the finances to immediately move out :(

The heart wants what it wants, you can't help what you feel.

That being said, its totally wrong to try and "steal" her. How would you feel if some dude tried to do that with your gf? All you can do is hope they break up (no sabatoge!) or move on. Personally I think moving on is smarter(easier said than done I know) because in the long run it'll hurt less.

Also think of it like this, if you do manage to "steal" her, what kind of girl is that? Unless she was in a really bad relationship, you don't want a girl who is so willing to haphazardly toss away a guy for another one.

I've walked in to the extent that I see the stalls and the sinks but then immediately realize something is wrong and leave. I'd be super embarassed if it got to the point that I actually went in and used a stall.

Not very often (never for retail). The last few cheques I've written have been where I owe a friend a large amount of money or for tuition.

On the other hand what astounds me is how much small businesses rely on cheques for. I started working as an administrative aid as some part time work at a small office complex and over half they bills they pay they pay with cheque and half the receiveables they have come in are via cheque. These are cheques often in excess of 10k and they're just floated through the mail mixed in with the junk mail :|.

Real men don't make a big deal about whether a guy is wearing pink or not. If they want to wear pink thats good for them. By saying you'll beat someone up for wearing pink you're just giving it more attention. Pink is a colour, just like any other colour.

I'm not sure what I'll be wearing, I do plan out what I'll wear but not this far ahead, typically the night before just so I have everything ironed and ready.

How ironic, my mom is asking me to go and help her send an email at this very moment /eye roll.

To answer your question its incredibly frustrating. I can deal with helping someone but when they fail to learn anything each and everytime and instead just rely on me to do it for them... thats what bugs me

I worked at bestbuy for over 2 years (a year and 1/2 of that as a cashier/customer service) and surprisingly enough I never once had someone try to steal an item as I was checking them out.

However I did hear a story from a coworker about this one idiot who went and bought a desktop one day. Came back the next day with just the reciept and then go to the shelf, take the exact same desktop off the shelf over to customer service and then return it, in essence getting a free desktop. The plan actually was kinda smart but he was an idiot because after he SUCCESSFULLY returned an item that was picked off the shelf he went and lined up at the checkout to buy a bottle of water. It was at that point the sales staff noticed he had returned an item he took off the shelf and busted him. If he hadn't stopped for water, he would have gotten away with it.

[QUOTE="taylor888"]Like I said before, I think I would prefer taking all science/math classes rather than philosophy/english/history. I have to take one ELA class in Sem 2, and that is still too much for me. Not that I am bad at writing, I just think those classes would be straight up boring, as they were in High School.Guppy507

Not to discourage you or anything, but the general chemistry and physics classes engineers take are every bit as boring as a history class, and quite a bit more work.

Not only are they potentially just as boring(depends on the person of course) but you can and probably will get sick of having nothing but math/science courses. The advantage of social science courses like sociology or history or whatever is grades in those courses are a lot more "interpretive". Unlike math/science where having a wrong answer WILL significantly lower your mark on a problem, writing papers has no hard and set right or wrong. I always try to throw in a few social science electives just to change up my course load as well as use them as GPA boosters.
