The Witcher 2 is the new bar for western RPG's. It is a game that will blow people away and raise their expectations from the games medium as a whole. Games like these are rare and I strongly urge anyone with a capable PC to go out and play this game. Simply put it's the best RPG I've played this entire generation.

Video game history has seen many female characters become as popular as their male counterparts. We've got Samus Aran and Lara Croft to name a few. But one of these characters were exploited for their sensual auras. When the first Tomb Raider was released, boys were clamoring for pictures of the pixelated sex object, and there were even rumors of a hack that could allow you to play Lara completely in the nude. Good ideas come at you in the blink of an eye, a sudden flash of inspiration hits you square on the jaw and the lightbulb gently flickers into life firing the pictures and words that accompany this bolt of genius you've been struck by direct into your brain.

Well, that hasn't happened to me yet so in the meantime here's a look at some of the best and worst from a few decades of gaming history.

I'm going to steer clear of the games themselves in so much as there'll be no "Best FPS/Worst FPS" here, instead I'm going to look at everything from the controllers and just which is the sexiest console out there (I won't be giving a sexiness rating though as that's just wrong and is something I like to keep behind closed doors) through to characters and costumes. In recent years we've heard the term "casual gamer" thrown around quite a bit. The past couple of years have seen many big moves from the gaming industry to attempt to grab the attention of the casual gamers and tap into this market.Even the gaming legend Nintendo built its last system with the idea that it could corner the casual gaming market. However, this demographic has not been the boon to the industry that these companies could have wanted. We've already heard the news from Nintendo about the on-going work on their new system since the Wii sales are starting to slide. The Xbox 360 Kinect has exceeded 10 million units worldwide but the fervor and energy surrounding it has begun to wane. The Move, originally aimed at casual gamers, has started seeping over to more serious gamers through compatibility with titles like Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4. This is an obvious attempt to squeeze a few more sales from the Move before they call it quits.

Is it just me, or are video games becoming less engrossing? I do not mean less fun, because I believe games have gotten much funner, but I mean less memorable.

The story lines are just not staying with us anymore. There comes a point in a game where the details of the characters and the plot really don't matter anymore. It's about getting to the beefy bits of action. And if there is a cut scene we want to see, it's because we know there might be boobs coming, or a massive explosion with blood filling the screen. Yeah, talk about shallow. But it's true, most games are coming to cliched plots with twists and surprises we know are just bound to happen.

Usually, you face off against the one who has opposed you constantly throughout your experience, and you must use all of your knowledge to defeat them.
