I'm sure that the PS3 will find success in the long run, as it is the superior system. But as of now, what they are really doing is setting-aside the negative feedback and focus on the big picture (which, BTW, is the exact opposite of Nintendo's mentality.) I wish them success, and more power to them, cause the last thing I want to see is Microsoft monopolizing another industry (don't bother mentioning Apple.) This is definately going to be an interesting console war, but I'm sure at some point I'll be owning all three, and have a killer rig while I'm at it.
Now that I own both games, and can compare them directly, I'd have to day GOW II looks far superior to GOW than what the screens showcase. It's generally a smoother, lusher, more massive, and overall better looking experience.
Not a drastic improvement from seeing these still shots, but in full-motion the engine truly shines. I was really disappointed by whomever took these pics, considering they're almost completely different scenes they are comparing.
