It can wait. The market is over-saturated with FPS and I've got Jericho on the way. Also, I just finished GRAW 2, so I don't feel like getting into another military shooter.

I've already ordered Uncharted, along with Assassins Creed and Mass Effect, and I'm thinking about Kane and Lynch, so that's enough for this month.

I have both systems and I'm getting the PS3 version. The fact is, I buy most multi-plats on the PS3 because I don't trust my 360 enough to put a lot of mileage on it, and it's going to be working overtime with Mass Effect.

I hate multiplayer.

I've gotten 3 quarters of the way through GTA 3, GTA VC, and GTA SA, but haven't beaten any of them.

Although I grew up with them on NES, I can no longer stand Mario or Zelda. I wish they would die.

I have a PS3 and a 360 but I secretly resent the 360 because of the RROD.

I'm obsessed with playing Ninja Gaiden on the harder levels. I put about 30 hours into Black and another 40+ into Sigma.

I purchased my PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 at launch.

[QUOTE="Lazy_Boy88"]It's not a bad game at all. But certainly is the most overrated of all time and completely undeserving of its popularity.AdobeArtist

Think - in saying that, you're claiming every reviewer to give it 10/10 or 9.5 or 97% or whatever - ALL OF THEM - all got it wrong. And the gabillions of people who play it online all do so because... they have no taste? What?

Seriously - think.

While I see your main point, mass appeal does not = quality. 50 cent anyone?

Halo isn't bad, but to say that it's a superior product because "gabillions" of people play it is ridiculous. Many of those "gabillions" are casuals who take hold of it because it's rammed down their throats. That's marketing.

Halo 3, and the praise it received is an example of a perfectly executed marketing strategy. I hope the sequel to Bioshock gets as much marketing muscle behind it, being that the original is truly worthy of AAA status.

There's a big difference though. Yes, lots of people bought Bullet Proof drawn in by their adulation of 50cent. Only to be disappointed by the game and regretting their purchase. You don't hear about any BP buyers praising the game. These same people that bought the game are also ripping it in their commentary.

Halo 3 on the other hand has much continued support even after the launch hype. The same can be said of Halo 2 which had continuous online play for more than 2 years after its launch. And you can be sure of continuous online play for Halo 3 well into 2010 if not a bit longer, which serves as a testament to it's success.

Halo 3 does continue to be praised after buying it whereas Bullet Proof wasn't, after finally seeing past the 50cent gloss and seeing the game for what it really was. And anybody claiming to have played the game and calling it crap is an obvious fakeboy. We haven't seen even ONE person with a history of positive 360 posting, bashing the game. And if you look at the posting history of most Halo 3 bashers claiming to have played the game, you'll find PS3 prasing and 360 bashing.

Just look at TC of this thread - a Level 1. Obvious fakeboy who didn't have the conviction or integrity to bash Halo 3 under his real account and made this decoy to take all the heat.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant 50 cent in terms of rap. I totally forgot that a game existed. lol

I agree that the original poster is a troll and I'll also agree that a lot of Halo 3 bashers probably haven't even played the game, but that goes for people who bash certain PS3 games as well. I just don't like that some people here seem to think that anyone who thinks Halo 3 is a little overrated(not bad) dosen't own a 360.

I don't think it's a bad game at all. In fact, it's definetly at the top of the FPS food chain. I just don't think it's the second coming.

This question seems to come up every 2 days. lol

Anyway, I have both, I've finished both, and I love both. If money is tight and you want something that will keep you busy, NGS is a tremendous value, provided that you can hang with it. Most people who are totally new to this series will require a MINIMUM of 17 hours to finish the game, and probably a lot longer on average, unless you give in to Ninja Dog mode. Plus you get mission mode with varying difficulties for each mission. I've put about 30 hours into it and I'm still playing it on the harder difficulties. It's extrememly fun and satisfying if you understand how to use the combat system.

If it isn't so much about value and you want a great gaming experience and a show piece for the PS3, get HS.

If you're big on action games, you can't really go wrong with either.

I'm about halfway through. It's enjoyable overall, but as someone else mentioned, having to do the same levels over again is getting on my nerves a little bit. But the story is interesting and the game has a great atmosphere to it. The positives about the games do outweight the negatives and it's definetly worth checking out.

Are ppl losing there minds? GOW is a killer, its gameplay surpasses any Ninja Gaiden game. May i please remind you fo the fight between Kratos and Hydra or kratos and Collosus and those were in the first 15 mins of the game! Yes, Ninja Gaiden is more complex but i find the gameplay alittle anticlimatic compared to GOW. I also agree that NG has a bad story and not much of a main character either i mean Ryu a silent ninja whose based on morals and honor compared to Kratos who will not only defy gods but hunt them down and rip them apart. The gameplay where your moving through puzzles i NG compared to the puzzles in GOW where your stcuk in a small space with monsters raining down on you and your in Titan mode with the Blade of Artemis or the Destiny Spear ripping em apart...Awesome! hashimgillani1

GOW is a "pick up and play" game backed by incredible cinematics, so it's a lot easier to get into. That dosen't make the gameplay better, just more accessible. The combat in NG is very rewarding but you have to put the time in. So for me, GOW was more entertaining, but NG was more rewarding to get through because of its difficulty and the fact that NG really does test your reflexes.

I give different recommendations based on what someone is looking for. For example, God of War and Heavenly Sword will appeal more to those who apreciate production value and artistic merit. NG and DMC are more for those hardcore action gamers who apreciate a complex combat system that discourages button mashing. Ultimately though, it's all good.

I've played through both GOW and GOW2, NG Black and NGS. Other than the fact that they're both action games, they're nothing alike.

As others have said, NG is about gameplay. In terms of pure action, NG beats GOW hands down, and pretty much beats any other game in that department. It's got some of the best combat mechanics in all of gaming and anyone who says differently probably hasn't taken the time to actually develop the skill to play throught the game.

If level design, story, puzzles and atmosphere is taken into account, then GOW beats NG hands down. For me, GOW has more of those "holy sh*t" moments and is just more epic.

I can't deside which series I like more, and luckily I don't have to. They both represent the cream of the crop in action games.

That seems to be a fitting score for conan, but R & C was robbed.lethal18

Indeed, I own and am playing both. I actually agree with the Conan review. Despite the PS2 graphics, and rather cheesy dialogue, the game is fun as hell, and the combos that you can learn are brutal. This is truly a case where graphics do not matter, as the game is just plain fun. After you play it for a while, you realize that it captures that raw Conan feel really well.

Ratchet and Clank though, did indeed get robbed. On a level of pure quality and production value, it is in another league completely than the likes of Conan. It is a beautiful, fun, humorous, smooth as silk game for everyone that does everything right, and rarely anything wrong. The score is a joke, and most people outside of the cess pool of System Wars and Gamespot in general knows it.

Seriously, I was just back in System Wars for a bit, and the lemming fanboys are getting so notorious over there it is disgusting. It has always been bad, mind you. But ever since this Ratchet and Clank Future debacle, it is like walking into a viper pit if you go in there trying to talk positive about anything PS3 related.

As someone who also owns both, I pretty much agree with everything in your post.
