Not even a high 8.

Not even a high 7.

Wow, just Wow.

Boy, it must suck to be a Cow nowadays.

But I know, wait until next year, right Cows?

PS3 are going to remember this as "The Great Floppage of 07"....or perhaps "The Summer of Flops".

Well, I'm off to play some Bioshock.

In other words, those of you who are getting off on seeing this, or any other game or console fail need to grow the f**k up and realize that you're just shooting yourselves in the foot in the long run. Unless you work for Sony or Microsoft, or own stock in either company, there should be no reason why any intelligent person should want to see either side fail.

I don't know what your post history is and I don't feel like looking it up...but all I have to say to you is that I hope you've lectured the Cows when they've gotten off on seeing some terrible event descend upon the 360. If not, then you are nothing but a hypocrite.

I have a feeling that System Wars might not be the best place for someone as sensitive as yourself.

If Bioshock was the "flop" instead of HS, I'd be saying the same thing.

Trust me, "sensitivity" is not the reason I probably shouldn't be here. I'm happy to own both systems. If anything, I shouldn't be here because I'm not a fanboy for either side. I don't call that "sensitivity", I call that common sense. If I were half as sensitive as the litt;e girls who post here, I'd actually allow this review to deter me from buying a game I've been waiting a long time for and begin questioning why I bought the PS3 in the first place.

I don't know your post history and I don't feel like looking it up, but I hope you've lectured other people about being so sensitive about a single review that they're willing to give up on sony for this generation. Otherwise, you don't know what the word sensitive means.

The game is 6 hours long.

Will someone remind me again on "teh power of teh Blu-Ray"? :|

Yellow_Rose

Whoever said it was Blu-Ray's fault the game is so short?

I didn't. The extra space on Blu-Ray disc was suppose to mean longer, better games.

At least that's what I heard.

The length of the game is determined by teh developers, not teh power of teh blu ray disc.

No, it sucks to be a gamer right now. I own both systems, I'm currently playing NGS on my PS3 and Bioshock on my 360, and I fail to see why so many people are happy to see this game "flop". I'll still be buying this game because I actually read the entire review and I believe I'll be able to get several hours of enjoyment out of this game, but that dosen't mean I'm satisfied. I had high hopes for this game simply because I want MORE QUALITY GAMES, period.

I want to see true AAA games on BOTH systems. More AAA games on both consoles means a higher industry standard, which benefits everyone in the long run. Competition is healthy and it's essential that consumers have a wide array of options available, whether we're talking about video games or toothpaste.

In other words, those of you who are getting off on seeing this, or any other game or console fail need to grow the f**k up and realize that you're just shooting yourselves in the foot in the long run. killzone, haze and UT3 best fps ever

shadystxxx

You should review all games before they come out, as your amazing ability to watch a few gameplay trailers and tell us which games are the best ever you must be a hero.

Try playing games before you judge them the best ever, or does exclusive/timed exclusive to ps3 mean they are the best ever, open your eyes.

Well the original post did ask us to speculate and that's what most of us did. So do you think it was right for the thread starter to ask us about games that aren't out yet...???

He asked for opinions on what games could compete with bioshock this year, not make a statement saying game a,b,c are the best games ever, i can understand you saying these games look awesome and i think they maybe some of the best games ever, but just to say best fps ever is quite silly.

The fact is really this year in 2007 no games on ps3 can compete with the big hitters on xbox 360, even multi-plat version of cod4 etc can not compete with the 360 cod4 version.

And it has nothing to do with quality, HS or uncharted could be some of the best games ever made but great reviews(critical success) does not mean success as a game you need both critical and commercial success, you played plenty of games that reviewed well but sold poorley(shadow of the colosuss).

thisyear games like halo 3,mass effect and bioshock are going to sell well, bioshock has already sold out at several online retailers.

Games like cod4,burnout,ass creed etc etc will more than likely sell better on 360 this year because of one thing it's install base.

So for any game to compete with the likes of bioshock it would have to review around the same and sell around the same, this is how competition is measured in the gaming industry.

It's all well and good somebody saying gamex is better than game y but that means squat compared with crtical and most importantly commecial success.

If you had to choose(ps3 only owners) between heavenly sword selling 5 million copies and getting 8's across the boards, or getting reviews of 9.5-10's accross the boards and only selling 1 million copies which would you choose.

It makes sense to choose the 8's and 5 mil, as that game then becomes a power house of a franchise a system seller with 5 million strong fanbase.

Thankfully, someone here has half a brain.
