All Microsoft is saying by putting the Elite out is that Sony was right. HDMI and 1080p are wanted. a larger HDD is wanted. And What is Microsoft going to do now with the core system? Are they just going to drop it and prove that they screwed over early adopters of the system? Oh and it doesn't even have the cooler running 65nm chip in it. Plus they are trying to copy Sony by making it all black. But it still doesn't have wifi on it. Why? because microsoft said that we didn't need it? They didn't include a HDdvd drive in it. You know... the new format that they are backing 100% no you still have to buy the external drive that wont be comming in black. Once again. Why? because Microsoft does not really support HDdvd they just say they do because they have to try to condradict Sony every chance they get.
So what are you really getting out of the Xbox Elite? You are getting a larger Hard drive oh and they are just throwing in an HDMI port. all that for an extra $80 and still not everything promised or hoped for. and don't pull the whole "I don't need a HD disk drive in my system" argument. If you had it you would use it. You only say you don't want or need it because you can't have it. The Elite is a Better Xbox360 but still not the better deal. it adds very little to the total game experience.

Of course if it was in built you would use it you would have no choice lol the reason they didnt put hd dvd in is because Bill Gates believe's physical media is cuming to an end which is why they put in a hdmi port so that when you download hd content it is shown in 1080p .
Course the 360 elite is a better deal than the ps3 its $120 dollars cheaper which is what people will see with the only minus being built in blu-ray but its not like that has added anything to the ps3's game experience either.
You forgot the part where Playstation 3 owners have Blu-Ray built in. Which means we're not at the mercy of bandwidth and internet traffic to get high definition content. TekkenMaster606
What does blu-ray have to do with bandwidth and internet traffic ? this is downloadable content you do realise?
