We can only hope. I never said that these consoles aren't up to snuff. I am saying that sometimes I wonder why they complain about system pricing, when money spent on games eclipses the system pretty fast even at launch.
I say give the developers as badass of a machine as you can. In the long term it would be better.
It's obviously a pricing/performance thing. I wonder if we're better off buying 600 to 700 dollar consoles. (Blasphemy.. I know)
The price is high... but considering that this is supposed to last 10 years, I think it'd be worth every penny in the long run. If you can't afford it... wait till a price drop.
How many dumb games have we bought over the years... take away two of those and you now have even more powerful hardware instead.
Like I said, to me until the games arrive, it won't matter. And I'll say it again the games won't be hugely different graphically. The difference is not a GTX 660 vs a 780.
