Uh..... Jagged? Do you know what anti aliasing is? Anyway, you're only adding 120 pixels to your vertical count with 1920x1080, not much of a difference to be honest.[QUOTE="JC_Spot"][QUOTE="haberman13"]
I'm only saying you fail at PC gaming; not gaming in general. So stop trying to defend your purchases! :)
But I'm sorry, PC gaming @ less than 1920x1200 is too small. It stops looking amazing, and starts looking consoley at that low of a resolution.
Grainy, jagged, UI too large, text too large, etc.
Get some standards people, I thought some of you were the so called elite! I'm just picking up fail arguments and insults ...
What happened to standards? Where is this so called elite crew? 1080p ... LOL

'1080p' 24" has too high a dot pitch. It creates an odd aliasy-like effect. Compared to the 24" 16:10 Dell (I have both (16:9) side by side) it's night and day.
Think 'apple retina' display vs the older model screens. Pixel density matters.
... and compared to the 27" and 30", it's laughable. Monitor is arguablly the most noticeable upgrade you can make to your PC.
You're so confused right now. You think 24" is too small, but a larger one at 1200p would be better, even though pixel density would be worse? My laptop screen is 1080p and it's 15" so that's got the best pixel density around for a PC screen. If you're honestly saying 120 extra vertical pixels is night and day then you're an idiot.Uh..... What is worse than console gaming? Laptop gaming.
No, that's wrong .. console is worse.
But laptop gaming should not be classified as 'PC gaming'.
Why?
- Tiny screen invalidating the benefit of high resolution
- Terrible FPS, all laptops are shoddy compared to a gaming desktop, invalidating bonus #104 of PC gaming: 60 fps
- Heat - you're killing your laptop, which should be used as long as possible without replacement, since it is a just a browser/work machine
- Controls - laptop keyboard == carpal tunnel (sure, buy a Nostromo)
- 99% of the time, you'll be lazy and play on wireless (u-u-ultra-a-a fail)
I have a laptop that I have gamed on (Lenovo W520 w/ the vid card upgrade), but that is a last ditch resort when on vacation, and just want a round of CSS or something. Nobody should buy a laptop for gaming purposes ... buy the laptop so it *can* game, but not if the trade-off means you don't buy a desktop.
Alienware owners, WTF is wrong with you?
In summation: PC gaming is typified by a gaming desktop, everything else is farmville, and an innacurate representation of PC gaming.

God you're dumb. Up until I built a rig I was laptop gaming, here is my response:
1. I plugged into a 24" 1080p monitor, laptop was an advantage because I could take it to friends for LAN.
2. FPS was fine even at 1080p, laptop chips aren't that bad, I had a GTX 460M
3. Laptop is 1.5 years old, still going fine, still under warranty. ASUS has the lowest failure rate of any laptop anyway.
4. External keyboard. Like $20.
5. Nope, ethernet 100% of the time.
1. 24" 1080p is tiny; you might as well be on a console!
2. Again with the decade old resolution? Your non-upgradeable 460M was terrible, and continues to be terrible.
3. Your laptop is going to die right after the warranty expires, then you will pay for a full replacement
4. Yup, I mentioned a nostromo, still far less than ideal
5. Well that is one of you at least :)
 WTF 24" is more than enough for a monitor. My laptop model has a 15% failure rate after 3 years so I doubt it's going to break. I have a desktop with a 670 so it's irrelevant now but the point is it still runs recent games just fine, BF3 on medium at 60FPS, 1080p.What is worse than console gaming? Laptop gaming.
