[QUOTE="ShadowDeathX"]I always put the setting on hardest difficulty and never drop it. This way you see if developers took the time to make the game "hard" or they just made it cheap. A lot of games are cheap. To me it doesn't matter though. If there is a setting, it is going on the hardest. If not, then oh well. What I hate is when developers lock the hardest difficulty unless you beat the once before. So retarded.

I hate it when they use COD style difficulty increases, by just making bullet damage do more. It should fundamentally change the game and therefore your approach.

I like no difficulty setting unless it actually affects the player negatively to have a lower level, ie. you get more rewards or bonuses by playing the harder difficulty. And by that I mean in game, not trophies or concept art or whatever. The difficulty slider in Oblivion and Skyrim frustrate me to no end.

I love a good tropical setting (not that there have been many good ones since Crysis) but the atmosphere in Metro 2033 is like nothing else. Lighting is crucial, and as long as the environment is well textured, good lighting can make any setting spectacular.

I ended up buying the asus g75vw-ts2. i7-3610qm, 16gb ram, 670m and a 3d 1080p screen, all for 1620 the value was good and it's close by so any problems can be handled locally. JC I have a desktop. It's a i7-2600k 8gb ram, and 670gtx. The laptop is for lan with friends.achilles614
Yeah fair enough, I was considering selling my laptop to afford a better desktop but LAN is crucial.

You've had a laptop for 10 years, I'd say the fact it has any functionality at all is a miracle.

[QUOTE="captainqwark20"][QUOTE="loosingENDS"]

And yet 360 got the best looking Witcher 2 version, the best 2012 shooter by miles in Halo 4 etc

PC is so useless it is not even funny, that is why i did not even bother mentioning it in my OP

loosingENDS

The MAC version of the Witcher 2 shuts out the 360 version however.

The lighting on 360 is way beyond PC version as Digital Foundry said

You are genuinely unintelligent.

I wouldn't be surprised if only 25% Skyrim's fans have even heard of Morrowind, let alone play it.KHAndAnime
This is so true. Even looking at the comments for the Dawnguard trailer on Youtube you see people fawning over crossbows, spears and vampires, all of which were in Morrowind.

I had a legit windows file corrupt and destroy my CPU on boot (100% load straight away). Eventually I managed to get rid of it but it was a real pain, I'd probably rather have had malware since that's reasonably easily detectable.

I have an ASUS G53JW as my laptop from XoticPC and it can play any game on the market at 1080p with 30FPS on pretty good settings but obviously it's nowhere near as proficient as a good desktop. In terms of raw power the Sager is the best however ASUS has the lowest failure rate of any brand (although mine has failed twice, luckily their warranty policy is extensive). If you can get a desktop then I recommend that, I will be building my own later this month.

Modding doesn't increase virus risk if you download for credible websites like moddb.com, nexus sites or fileplanet and the like. In terms of anti virus, avoid intrusive ones like Norton and go with something basic. Anyway, if you're reasonable capable then getting a virus is a difficult task.
