We're celebrating Father's Day early, I might be able to join.

hmm, I'm busy with the usual Friday night hell-raising, but I'll stop by later.
[QUOTE="Blackbond"][QUOTE="JJGY"]A lot of people forget the fact that so called casuals are the driving force behind the gaming market. Without the inevitable shift towards the mainstream, the billions of dollars which have flooded the industry in recent years would not be there to support the constant improvement of our games. As much as people may hate this movement, just try to keep it in perspective. Games are, after all, meant for entertainement, and excluding newcomers to the market is not something that will pay off well at all in the long run. This truth stands for communities such as this and gaming companies alike. ArisShadows
I wouldn't expect anything less in a post from the guy who recruited me. Where have you been hiding at?
Recruited?
Btw, nice post, sir.
I extended an invitation to join up with the GUFU awhile back.
I'm not sure for whom the nice post was meant for, but on the off chance that it was for me.. thanks
And with that, I'm off folks. I'll be around the IRC as usual, and who knows, I may even pay the ol' SW another visit in a month or two, today's stint wasn't all that bad :P
[QUOTE="GodLovesDead"]This thread made my day.
To seriously answer this thread :
- Best Graphics of the 3
- Best Controller of the 3
- Best Online Service of the 3
- You can plug your MP3 player and play music off the damn thing. That rapes.
TreyoftheDead
-Graphics have to do with games.
-Controllers have to do with games.
-Online service...maybe. As long as you don't play games.
-MP3 player is ok!
Remember, we don't buy video games consoles for games. Most of the stuff you listed are not important factors.
$400.00 USD to put music on your zune, damn, what a bargain :P
In all fairness though, I truly do respect the degree of integration with other aspects of Microsoft media that the company put into the console. Gaming aside, I really do value the multimedia features of the 360 above all other consoles. This is, of course, pure opinion, but the console makes the shift from gaming consoles to true multimedia machines slightly easier to bear.

hmm, I've been lurking around the union boards as usual. I've been enjoying some peace and quiet since game took over :P
Besides the games, is there really a reason to own one?Twisted_Hawk
Please keep in mind, my friend, that you are currently posting on a videogame forum. I for one put a lot of importance on the games. Hell, I wouldn't shell out anything over ten bucks for a gaming console that didn't have them. Now, if the games don't interest you, then I suggest you place the money on something more along the lines of a media center, because after all, gaming consoles are ment for.. well, gaming ;)
If you vote 1, you either play too much Halo to be THAT bad at the game or don't comprehend that it is ok for people to be bad at games.
If you vote 2, you need to get your hand checked out. There is NO reason to throw your remote unless you are being threatend into doing it or you have a physilogical condition.
If you vote 3, you frequent System Wars.

My solution? Run into a cop with 20.1g of high grade marijuana in my hand and get sent to prison under a felony, therefore losing my voting rights and having a good excuse to avoid giving in to polls. Damn, I've got this all figured out.
im just wondering what happened to those people who write walkthroughs and faqs especially the new RPG games out there right now. did they got old and grew beard all of a sudden or just went to school!arcSE7EN
He's asking why there's never really any new walkthroughs or anything.
My answer to this is the fact that Gamespot seems to be going through a bit of a community shift. To put things simply and avoid the pains of carpal-tunnel, I'll just say that most of the newer members and such that constitute the userbase here aren't the same type that has put stuff like that together in the past.
