They said both would be running at 1080p lwhen the game ships, like last week. Beta for xbox I think is 900p? Still dont know what to think of this game. Combat looks good, but the rest sounds pretty mediocre at best. Story sounds just AWFUL. Only cool think I heard is Moon wizards! Which is so bad it turned awesome.
@SlyMC182 I understood, but its the same reasoning. A unknown IP always has risk. You dont support it just because its new, or not doing so may or may not cause other devs to not take risks.
Ill admit I haven't seen a ton of info on the game, but I really haven't seen anything to make Destiny a title I care about.
The industry has felt stagnant for years now. Its stuck in a rut of dumb-ing down everything to appeal to the most people possible, shoving online into everything, and getting as much money possible out of a franchise they possibly can through DLC ,micro transactions.
If the industry needs to see these big budget games fail to get the msg that they should get back to their roots, improve and build on the basics, then thats what needs to happen. I mean ****, computer AI doesnt feel like its improved since the 90s in much of anything. Better content, atmosphere, immersion, AI. Really crafting a world that sucks you in.
Online games are EXTREMELY hard to do well, and I dont see Destiny being a flagship title on how to do a MMO/online only game right. Being a sci fi shooter to boot makes it sounds even worse. Though I guess I imagine too many damage soak enemies that make me feel like im shooting BBs at everything.
@SlyMC182 If the industry needs to correct itself by having the game fail, to produce better future products its a good thing. Supporting a game because its high profile and costly isnt a reason to support anything.
I kinda hate the premise/narrator. I feel like the people who made this sat around all day talking about how bad ass their mages are. Like, my mage could take your mage! My mage could beat Super Saiyan Goku! You know what would be awesome? If we made a game about MAGES! Not those pansy mana bar mages! But crazy god like mages! Did I tell you Im totally into mages!?
@vlainstrike @JRD1912 It not just legendary items. I mean I havent played in a year or w/e, but one run on hard with my old chars in the new act and my health went from 50k to 200k. My dam at least doubled. Its ridiculous. The drops needed a bump, not triple everything out there to make people interested again. Too much too fast of anything just makes you burn out that much quicker.
@g0nz0j03 Seems overboard. Legendary was supposed to mean something. I hadnt played in like a year. I had a good barb that was geared pretty damn well at the time. With a lot of life steal. good magic find, good resist all, pair of 800 dam weapons, and about 55k health. I could farm Hell through all the acts, and even solo Diablo.
I just finished first run of act five. Like trippled my health, prob doubled my dam. Found like 4-5 legendary items. They are just throwing shit in your face. Stops meaning much if its just thrown at you.
