@InYourMouf: While it doesn't suffer the same problems as Doom 3 it still suffer new problems of its own which make it far from a "proper" Doom game.
For one example no mod tools beyond a map editor which has limitations compared to the previous games map editors and you can't even make outdoor areas for an example, finishers which take away the challenge by easily killing enemies and restoring your health which are repetitive and will get old with no way of disabling them, no campaign Co-Op which was a staple of the original Doom's, and enemies that randomly appear instead of properly placed enemies for an organized challenge, also the map design is generic and not abstract-like like the original Doom's.
The art direction isn't good particularly for the hell parts, too much yellow everywhere and no traditional red themed hell, and goofy demon designs such as the cyberdemon for one example which looks like a golum with moose antlers.
@razrabbit: They don't chop up anything, they have separate teams to produce the DLC content and they do it around the same time as the main team for the entire game. If DLC truly was cut up content then all DLC is, and no matter what form it is released it doesn't discount nor confirm the fact that DLC may have been split base game content.
@megakoresh: You seem to come across as a hater, ME3 was not nearly as bad a game as you are making it out to be, just because the endings weren't desirable by some people doesn't mean the entire game was bad nor a "disgrace to the franchise".
@7tizz: Popular or not still doesn't change this fact, all I'm saying is that people are saying that this will be the first attempt and they are wrong.
