[QUOTE="Jack-Napier"][QUOTE="skbmassive"]The last final fantasy didn't use a DVD9 disk yet it all hold on one disk. Actually there are only 13 games for PS2 that used DVD9 and over 350 that came on CD-Rom. I bet many of you did not know that.skbmassive

yeah we knew and we also know that ps2 was the weakest system last gen, what is your point ? better textures take up more space, better models, etc etc. 2nd gen games are barely fitting on dvd9 like mass effect and they use so much compressing on it, i rather have 7.1 lossless audio and uncompressed stuff etc etc. blu ray isnt needed if you want to be switching discs in a yea or two, but it is definately a step up and an improvement and offers more possibilities.

Textures do not take up much space. Stop acting like you develop games I know a lot more about it than you. How many games have 7.1 losless audio on the PS3? You really think everyone is goign out to buy a new receiver to get it.

7,1 losless audio is geared towards movies not games.

oh so you are a game dev ? do you know how much space audio takes up ? it takes up a lot, im not gonna argue with you cus you are a fanboy and if i say anything contrary to you you are just gonna say its wrong, get a clue, ps2 couldnet display textures like gamecube or 360, crappier textures take up less space, uncompressed takes up a lot of space, audio takes up a lot of space, be quiet noob. tell me you know more than me how do you know my knowleges ? are you in my brain fanboy ? ff12 had crap textures, it was on dvd 5, GOW2 had better textures and other stuff and it is a much smaller game, it is on dvd9.

[QUOTE="xxThyLordxx"]why do lemmings want PS3 games so bad? you guys talk about PS3 more than cows. if you want FFXIII, buy a PS3.  even if it happens, the console war wont be over, far from it, in fact, this console war has not yet started.Radeon_X1950XTX

i would rather be a lemming then, atleast lemmings admit ps3 has good games, yet cows like who, who are stupid says 360's games are over-rated

Such a pathetic reply, you can not see beyond Sony marketing I see. The xbox360 can do FFXIII, get over it. And do post the source where the creator denies the engine driving FFXIII being multiplatform.

 You lemmings crack me up!

The White Engine reportedly uses 4 of the 6 synergistic processing elements (SPEs) available to games, of the Cell processor, to achieve near-pre-rendered CGI quality in realtime.

Square Enix recently announced they had licensed Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 to use on a number of particular next generation titles, but will still use the White Engine for Final Fantasy XIII. In February 2007, an interview with Square Enix President Yoichi Wada in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun misstated that the game would no longer use the White Engine, and use the Unreal Engine 3 instead to reduce development costs. This statement was recognized as an error by the editor. While the use of Unreal Engine 3 is true for other upcoming Square Enix games, the White Engine is still being used for Final Fantasy XIII.

[QUOTE="GermanShepard06"]ff13 is not possible on x360, unless square develops some different type of game for it.themyth01

Oh really? how so? They're using a multi-platform engine after all, it is indeed very possible, I'm still interested in your reasons for thinking it's not though.

the person who said it was a multiplatform engine was the head of mistwalker who got the boot from squeenix cus healmost bankrupted them, good source buddy. no ne has proof it is, infact the story came from the fact that squeenix licensed UE3 for other games and peple thought they were using it for FF13.

SE acquired the rights to use UE3 engine to implemented with their White engine, their engine is indeed multi-platform and they could make multi-platform games if they simply want to.

stop posting, you are getting sadder by the minute, implement it into the white engine  LMFAO. the creator of ff13 and versus said they are not using it in his games and they are using white engine only. i love when lemmings make up stuff to try to help their argument. yeah it will be a good multiplat if inside the elite they somehow snuck in a CELL chip  there is absolutely no proof that it is a multiplatform engine and in fact the director has denied it, who am i gonna believe a fanboy or the creator ?

since you said it is multiplatform, show me the press release from squeenix, i mustve missed it along with the rest of us on here. show me where they said it was confirmed officially. oh thats right you cant, you are the pathetic one here so stop spewing fanboy claims with no proof.

[QUOTE="flashattackfina"]japan hate the 360 periodthemyth01

Why would they hate the XBOX360?

It has games like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Cry On, Phantasy Star, Bullet Witch, Eternal Sonata, Enchanted Arms, Infinite Undiscovery......

obviously those games arent good enough, cus 360 is doing worse than xbox1 was in the same time frame.

The console race started when MS launch their system. If xbox 360 gets FF13, then I would see no other reason to get a ps3 for gaming because xbox 360's library of games would be far superior than the ps3. The xbox 360 also is $200 cheaper and it is equal to the ps3 in terms of gaming power. Don't tell me you need bluray for gaming because there is not one game out right now that requires the bluray format. Loyal ps3 owners just got tricked by sony to be pawns in their movie format wars. Get over it, the ps3 is a flop.

you do know that Blue Dragon on X360 is on 3 DVDs.

isn't that proof that Bluray isn't required?

a 2nd gen 360 game requires 3 dvds, what you think a 4th or 5th gan game is gonna take ? you really wanna play a game on 6 discs ?
