BTW I had a SNES, it was the first console I ever had. So I know it is good, I had a lot of fun with it. But there is no way in hell I would rate it above the 360 or PS2, and honestly, I think the PS2 deserves to be number 1, it was by far my favorite console of all time so far.

[QUOTE="Jackman1"]looks pretty good to me. of course all the fanboys are going to complain that their console isn't higher or even on the list. The 360 has a great library of games, the best of this gen, anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about.Video_Game_King

While some of that may be true (and some of it not), how can you judge a console that hasn't finished its run? How do you know its not gonna crumble within the next few months? You don't, I don't, so to put it on the list would be speculation, just as it'd be for the other two consoles, and the two handhelds. Oh, and SNES deserves to be at least in the top 2. But it isn't, and the list suffers greatly from it. Throw in the lack of NES, and you have a mediocre countdown. I'll stick to GT's Countdown on the matter.

Ok I will put it this way for you then. I'm a Cornhusker fan when it comes to college football. And a lot of people would agree that the 1994 Nebraska Cornhusker team was the best team ever. But do you really think they would stack up today against teams like USC or Texas or Florida? No they would get destroyed, they were the best in their era, this is a new era. The SNES was the best in its era, but its not the best of all time by far. Consoles today destroy it as far as graphics (obviously) controls, and the different types of games available. So IMO the SNES was a great console, for when it came out. But to say it deserves to be in the top 10 when so many better consoles have came out since it is really stupid.

I am starting to grow farther apart from my 360. I mean the concept of achievements are great, and it's always fun to unlock some and compare your achievements to others...but...No good games have really been announced / released! It seems like the only way to get high gamer scores is NOT TO BE GOOD, but to have no life and spend way too much time on the system. And alot of the games aren't that great (I'm going to write about how Halo 3 lost it's fun in a different thread). It seems like it is / was a pretty over-rated system from the start. You guys know any awesome upcoming games for 360?ZombiesLikeCake

Why dont you find out what awesome games are coming out for yoruself? I dont see how you can't know of all the awesome games for the 360 that are coming out this year/early next year. Did you just get the internets? Common you're posting on a gaming site! Just look around!

[QUOTE="Kez1984"]Cliffy makes shallow overrated games, it kinda figures he would admire shallow overrated games.UnknownSniper65

Correctamundo. Also I just don't dig the guy.

I still don't see why GEoW is so highly regarded...its gameplay was incredibly flawed. The cover system is by far the worst one that I have seen put into an AAA game thus far. Even GTAIV's cover system felt more natural than the one put into GEoW.

Lol I can't believe you just said that. GEoW had one of the best cover systems I have ever played. And many would agree with me. You Fail

I've never played a Zelda game, except for the one on the original gameboy when I was like 7 or 8, I didn't even beat it. My girlfriend has a Wii though and I've been playing TP a lot, I really like it. I wisn I could get into the older ones but the controls on older consoles really bugs me when I try to play them so I stay away from it

[QUOTE="Jackman1"]I beat COD4 epilogue on veteran like the 2nd or 3rd time I tried it. for me one of the hardest levels ever was playing that one mission in COD4 where you had to run down the hill in a certain amount of time on veteran. Also the mission Cortana on Halo 3 playing it by yourself, on legendary, with the shoot from the hip skull on. That was miserableBulletToothDave

I call you a liar! No one, I mean, no one beats epilogue on veteran on their 2nd or 3rd try. All those who beat the game on Veteran like me know the truth.

lol ok dont believe me, i beat the game on veteran after beating it on the other 3 difficulties (or 4 or however many there are, I haven't played that game in months). i also had the luxury of watching my friend play it on veteran before so I knew how hard it was going into it, it really wasn't THAT bad. I got destroyed the first couple times until i got the hang of it. Maybe it was like the 4th or 5th try but I know it wasn't anymore than that

[QUOTE="EmperorSupreme"]That's kind've a dumb reason imho. I can switch easily between the PS3 and X360 controller. Both are really good.dsmccracken

Good for you, heres a cookie. I think its one of the most important reasons to buy a system. Especially this gen when the graphics are the same. I like the 360 controller more, better analog placement, better trigger buttons, I can actually feel it in my hands. DS3 is crap imo

Interesting you didn't mention the D-pad on the X360 controller.

*thinks* Sweet, perfect time to use my C4, but I have to be quick
*night vision turns on*
What! No!
*night vision turns off*
-killed-

Neither is perfect, but both are the best controllers ever on a console. Anyone saying one is clearly superior to the other or saying one is crap is just full of it. The controllers are practically the same in functionality.

I could care less about the D-Pad I rarely have to use it compared to how much I used the analog and trigger controls. Have fun with your superior D-Pad while I'm having fun with my superior trigger buttons and analog controls

I love the 360 controller, but I don't think you can dismiss it's craptastic d-pad so easily. The number of times that it's screwed me up is beyond counting. I mean, in Oblivion alone... well, suffice to say it was an extremely dark time in my life.

It really doesn't bother me at all. It rarely causes me frustration, I wasn't dismissing the D-Pad at first. I just didn't think about it because I dont use it, it worked fine for me in oblivion, I mean I made it to level 57 as a Battle Mage with all my spells set in the hot keys, had no problem with it.
