Square, Sony and Microsoft. They all need to learn a lesson.

Square: theres a word called loyalty

Microsoft: Money cant buy everything

Sony: being overconfident and lazy is not the best thing to do

So yeah, i hope this game sucks hard and no one buys it. kthxbye

GiveMeSomething

wow why dont you go cry a little more because its not longer PS3 exclusive. its going to be an awesome game. I have a 360 and before I knew it was coming to 360 I thought it was going to be amazing. It was what was going to make me buy a PS3 (that and MGS4) but now I think I'm going to be good for a while.

Of course it left a footprint on the industry. Video games were pre-historic back then. They were new to everyone. Now today everyone knows about them. And you can't one up any game I mention on the 360 with a game on the SNES because they are completely different consoles and generations. Have fun playing your SNES though while I'm enjoying high definition games on a current gen console. Do you have a current gen console? Do you play your SNES more than it if you do? If so good for you, but I highly doubt it. But I will give u a game from this gen thats on the 360 and PS3 and see how well u can one up it with a SNES game...COD4 good luck

Contra 3?

Sorry to butt in btw

IMO contra 3 was the best game of that gen. for that matter one of the greatest games ever made...

Contra 3 was a good game, but IMO it does not one up COD4. Once again completely different consoles and generations. Lets also compare Super Mario Kart on SNES to GT5:P while were at it. It just doesn't work. And I love me some Super Mario Kart

You're comparing games from two different sub-genres. It'd be like comparing Mario Kart 64 to Gran Turismo. And guess which one was more successful? That's right, Super Freaking Mario Kart! And Contra 3 still one ups COD4, as it was more original than the competition. Overhead and side scrolling levels.

And how was COD4 not original? In a world of WWII shooters I call COD4 pretty freakin original. It was something completely different. It wasn't WWII warfare, it wasn't Sci-Fi warfare, it was MODERN warfare. So sorry but in YOUR opion it one ups COD4, in mine it doesn't. So heres your cookie for your opinion.

i know i know just thinking about the good ol days :P

I'm really not trying to say the SNES doesn't deserve to be on the list. Like I said it was my first console ever! I loved it! Its just that if I were to make a list of the best consoles of all time it would look something like this (these are all ones I have owned too except PS3, but there are not the only ones I've owned):

1. PS2

2. PS1

3. 360

4. N64

5. SNES

6. PS3 (only cause I cant afford one yet so I really can't say how good it is)

7. NES

8. Xbox

9. GC

10. I really can't think of one to put here

Ok I will put it this way for you then. I'm a Cornhusker fan when it comes to college football. And a lot of people would agree that the 1994 Nebraska Cornhusker team was the best team ever. But do you really think they would stack up today against teams like USC or Texas or Florida? No they would get destroyed, they were the best in their era, this is a new era. The SNES was the best in its era, but its not the best of all time by far. Consoles today destroy it as far as graphics (obviously) controls, and the different types of games available. So IMO the SNES was a great console, for when it came out. But to say it deserves to be in the top 10 when so many better consoles have came out since it is really stupid.

Video_Game_King

I'll use your analogy to support my own point: it seems that you're implying that the members of the 94 team would be crushed by the 08 team in their current health and age. This would be correct, but not accurate. In order to test the power of both teams, you'd have to pit 94 Cornhusker from 94 against whatever 08 team you want. Graphics aren't always everything, as there are far more factors. You have to keep in mind stuff like impact, what was around before/during the release, the overall game library, memorability, and, most importantly, overall fun factor. Games from back then could wipe the floor with modern games. Hell, Final Fantasy VI is still better than most modern (traditional) JRPG's I've played.

Obviously they would have had to play while they were the same age and health. But the strength and conditioning of today is miles a head of what it was back then. There is not a single game (besides KOTOR series I guess) that I still play today. Their "wow" factor, not just graphics, are over for me, as they are for a lot of people. You can only hold on to the past for so long

But when judging a console, you have to judge it by how good it was for its time and the footprint its left on the industry. The SNES definately left its footprint, refining video games to the level of precision and sophistication that we see today. The 360, however, hasn't left much of a footprint yet. And besides, you can name me one game on the 360, and I can one-up it with a game on the SNES.
