No no, I don't think it's an unreasonable question. There was someone in the extended trailer who looked like young Snake (I can't remember who forum nerds decided he was), but it might be his voice. I'd actually really like Snake to be voiced by a gravelly old man. Sometimes Hayter's delivery is questionable... "That's damn good!" coming directly to mind :)

[QUOTE="danianddan"][QUOTE="Thomas-Crown"]Hows the game?? I want to get it but I am not sure about it. :P americahellyeah

Well as Im female I normally like games like Sonic and platformers (dont laugh) but this is really good. I sit on the edge of my seat when I play it! The creepy noises and the footsteps make my skin tingle! When I nearly got killed earlier the music got really loud and I panicked and dropped the controller lol!

Just out of curiosity, if you usually only play platformers, what made you go for the PS3? It'll probably end up being a great choice with Ratchet and Clank, but it just seems like you might reach for a Wii.

heh lol, or the wiimote ^_^....sorry :(

 Dude, noooo ;)

First of all, TTS does not have the same graphics as MGS2... they're considerably worse (not Kojima after all). But secondly, obviously being a big Metal Gear fan I'd recommend you play the games, but you can always catch up on the story with Wikipedia. That's a lot of game to chew on.. especially since you'd never understand the story in MGS2 anyway (f*ck, what a trainwreck).

I had heard that if you actually read that Famitsu article properly, no mention of PS3 exclusivity is actually made. But I guess if the company is made of Sony and Namco, the likelihood is...

Yeah, don't do this guys. Not only will the companies pay no attention but it makes sony fans appear desperate and a little unbalanced.

How do we know these are Sony/Namco joint ventures? BTW, they look phenomenal... this is the level of stuff I expect out of the PS3.

Yeah man, I own several Blu-Ray movies now, including Casino Royale and The Departed. It's fantastic - yes, it makes a huge difference for both the audio and visual components but you need high definition television and surround sound to appreciate it. The difference between 1080i vs. 720p is a loaded question and ultimately comes down to preference ie. just try them both out and see what you like (assuming your TV is capable). But ultimately if you have the capacity for 1080p, that's unquestionably the way to go.

Actually, my bad for including stuff about it being more powerful than the 360... I'm not saying that's what's gonna happen, but I think that may be where the rabid 360 fanboy-ism comes from.

I love the dudes crying at the speech though. A well-deserved mockery of what might have come off as an overly dramatic speech. And the dude is absolutely right that I have anxiety... this was intended for me as well. I think we all have anxiety, am I wrong? We just made a huge investment, most of us are pretty young and don't have buckets of money, and now people are calling for its downfall left, right and centre?

Point is, all this is short-sighted. Just as an example - let's just compare Shadow of the Colossus to something like Crash Bandicoot... I mean, my God, man - this stuff has come sooo far. We really haven't noticed it cuz it's happened gradually, but imagine what we'll be playing when that leap can happen between SOTC and a PS3 game. You can't even wrap your head around.

Anyway, long story short, this should be the best time of your game-playing life. F*ck the beef, let's just enjoy this completely oh-some system.

It seems like a lot of forces are conspiring to make PS3 owners wring their sweaty hands together.. bad press reports, loss of some exclusives, 360 fanboys... and it's true. There have been some stumbling blocks with this launch.

But I couldn't be more excited to be a PS3 owner. Think of the leap between mid-cycle PS1 games and mid-cycle PS2 games. That leap is coming again, possibly more dramatically this time. Upcoming first party games: Heavenly Sword, Lair, Ratchet and Clank, Gran Turismo 5, God of War III, Uncharted, Killzone, Getaway, Warhawk... and even more exciting is the raft of announcement Sony has yet to make at E3, when the second generation of PS3 software starts to hit. Plus with innovations like Home and LittleBigPlanet, within the first year of the PS3's life, who knows what they'll be able to come up with two and three years down the road?

To be honest, I think a lot of the speculation is coming from anxious 360 owners who see a system that is a lot more powerful than theirs and could end up dwarfing what MS is able to accomplish. That's why they're jumping all over the giant as it tries to gain it's feet. But regardless, that's my opinion, and I think we all as PS3 owners have just got to relax about the situation. Historically, you can't judge a console within the first six months of it's life cycle, especially not Sony consoles which have a habit of lasting upwards of seven years. Let's just all rise above the bullsh*t on these and other boards.
