it's just a Senate hearing, not a floor vote on anything, these go nowhere, they're only stages for political theater and self indulgencelamprey263

Thing is this is the closest congress has gotten to the issue in about 40 years.

So yeah kind of a big deal.

The storyline was great, as expected from Irrational

But the gameplay really drags the game down.  It's basically corridor of recycled enemies, rinse repeat.  And that final mission was frustrating and a painful way to go out. Say what you want about Bioshock 2, but the gameplay was amazing; even better than the first imo.

Anyway, the boring gameplay destroyed any chance of playing through the game once more.  I wanted to so I could beat it on 1999 model; however, there was no way I was going to put up with that bland gameplay a second time.  The story honestly was the only thing that carried me to the end.  Which is surprising since if the gameplay is lackluster I'll easily ignore a quality story.  I put gameplay way above anything.

So then you agree it should be illegal to drive stoned just as it is to drive drunk or under anything else that impares you?

Pirate700

yes, but we should not delay the legalization movement for fears of "stoned driving". It is not in the same ball park as drunk driving.

I never said it should be delayed. I said time needs to be taken to make sure it's done right. That way, it's not rushed into legalization and then quickly made illegal again in counties like in CO.

I somewhat agree, full on legalization right out of the gate will cause initial problems if there isn't a well-thought out plan to implement.  First there's need to be nation-wide decriminalization so we can get these thousands of people out of jail.

I have a friend who years ago felt like he had to defend marijuana all the time, how great it was, referring to statistics etc. made it sound like a gift from God. He is now in psychiatric care and according to himself because of the very thing he defended. It can do good, but it can also do bad. Hell, of a gamble if you don't really need it if you ask me.

Moderation is key when it comes to just about anything.

This is good news, I think the War on Drugs may be finally coming to an end. The Feds finally agreeing to stop harassing Colorado and Washington was a big step.

I feel sorry for people who do things solely for money... what an empty life... I'd rather be dead. BenedictArnold7

[QUOTE="EnoshimaJunko"]

[QUOTE="MakeMeaSammitch"]maybe if people demanded better candidates, they would get them, but they don't.

MakeMeaSammitch

That's a good idea, but how exactly do we demand better candidates?

petitions? public support or lack there of? Maybe actually voting?

Simple example. Everybody says they care about the economy more than anything, but they vote along lines of abortion/gay rights, (for or against)

Maybe people should actually back up what they say for a start.

Or maybe we should just get rid of the dreaded two party system

Face it, the implementation of most of those extracurricular courses in the first two years are meant only to give the college more $$$

Colleges have become little more than high-rate robbery
