Hopefully Allen comes back as well. I don't see why he wouldn't, but you never know honestly. I love Norris Cole as well, but I think they need to bring Chalmers back. He comes up huge in big games it seems.

Think we can count on Ray to return as well, he did say these are the best teammates he's ever played with.  And I'll take Bosh's word on this http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/228356/Bosh-Ray-Allen-Is-Coming-Back-To-Heat

Chalmers is the kind of guy who will always make boneheaded plays, but will always show up for your team.  He's come up huge time and time again.  I think he deserves an extension for sure.

Dwyane Wade's 10-year-old son, Zaire, is really good at basketball. So good that he even has a mixtape. http://bit.ly/14teNUC

I was wondering about that too. I could be looking at this totally wrong, and maybe Pierce wants to skip town with the current situation in Boston. I think they can still be contenders in the East with Rondo, Green, Pierce, and Garnett.  They had to battle without Rondo which made things tough, but when Rondo is there he really gets everyone going and makes the game easier for the whole team.

We all know he's injury prone.  But he could potentially be the answer to the Heat's interior problems when going up against the Pacers and  the Bulls.  Obviously if he stays healthy which is a huge if.  Frankly, I think it'll be a replay of what happened with Brandon Roy this year but who knows.

Definitely wouldn't want the Heat to throw much money at him, not like they have it any way.  I'm sure somebody picks him up though, he seems to really like the Cavs and I wouldn't blame him for choosing there...

I'm confident we're getting Birdman back though, considering he said he can't wait to go for the three-peat next year at the parade.  Hopefully he follows through with those words.  Heat were the only ones that believed in him.

The NBA is a business. Emotions must be taken out of the decision making process. Not about not being loyal, it's about the franchise, not the player.

True, I fully understand that side of it.  But at the same time I'm sure Superstars take note of how an organization treats their beloved players.  And shipping them out at the end of their career can't be viewed highly.

Maybe Pierce wants his usual amount of money once his contract is done, and won't be like Duncan and agree to take a pay cut for the good of the franchise.  In that case I can understand.

Ironic though how we bash players for doing what they want in free agency, and turn a blind eye to the fact that organizations view their "meaningful" players as simply merchandise.

Greg Oden is down in South Florida at the Earl of Sandwich! Would definitely be a good signing for the minimum if the staff sees some potential, he does appear in shape.  Its low risk high reward really.  I could see others overpaying him for two reasons though... 7'0 centers are in high demand and just to avoid him coming to MIA.

He probably realizes he's just another injury away from having his NBA career thrown out the window, so he may be looking out for the highest bidder.  Not sure he desperately wants to win.

What do you guys think about franchise/Hall of Fame players that played a substantial part in bringing success to a city being put on the trading block at the end of their career?

Like the Celtics engaging in talks with the Cavs to ship Paul Pierce out of there for multiple second round picks? I understand the rebuilding notion but the man has played every game of his career in a Celtic uniform and brought a championship to a city that hadn't earn one in over a decade before that... I think its safe to say Pierce will have his jersey retired by the organization as well.  But what a way to end his career, just putting him out to an up and coming team in the same conference.  Its clear why Ray left, there's no loyalty there.

The Heat hang on to their distinguished players until their career is over or at least try.  See Wade and Haslem. Those guys will never be traded.

It goes against the status quo, so no.

I guess you don't like meaningful lyrics, and instead prefer Kanye stroking his ego for 85% of an album.

Seems legit.
