[QUOTE="sonicare"][QUOTE="goldari"] I dont think i believe it to be honest, seems like these differences would have been apparent in the actual scientific studies previously done. I mean dont get me wrong, im totally smarter than all chicks combined, but i need some evidence. ;)goldari
It's possible it could be bogus. I've never seen the aforementioned study, but I have heard talk of this distribution in the past.

Well i made a ninja edit, but i figure there would need to be some evolutionary reason as to why... which i cannot think of. And ive seen IQ studies regarding genetics and generally speaking the IQ is similar regardless of the sex of the child, and generally predictable based on the IQ of the parents. The more i think about it, the more i think its bogus. :P

Uh...the OP posted the link to the study. It's not bogus.

Women are more social. Women with an average IQ can interact socially with a wider range of people, including a wider range of men. Extraordinarily smart women and extraordinarily dumb women would've been considered different, and because of the nature of society they would've been less successful in their roles (as far as our evolutionary history goes, it's a lot less relevant in today's society). They would've less accepted, they would've mated less, and they would've had fewer kids. This would've very easily done the task of narrowing their bell curve as far as IQ goes. Men, on the other hand, were far less social. Their lives revolved around hunting, and even stupid men can be great hunters. This would've put a lot less evolutionary pressure on the specific trait we're talking about, as intelligence and physicality are completely different (and in a hunter gatherer society, physical traits are a lot more important when it comes to mating). This means the extremes wouldn't be bred out of the male population as quickly as they were bred out of the female population.

How is this anything close to a new type of music? It's acoustic guitar and a guy singing. What's new or unique, even a little?

No you are wrong intoxicated driving, people doing stupid actions, lungs damaged (Lung cancer chance) and a possibility of leading into heaver drugs which is quite likely for avid users though a little less chance for a casual user.

dsmccracken

then show me a case where marijuana was the cause of death.

2.5% of fatal crashes are the result of marijuana use. A far cry from the 29% booze creates, but only a fool would think that smoking and driving has never once caused a fatality.

2.5% of fatal crashes are not a result of marijuana use. That's totally untrue. Please post your source.

Was there a reason to point out I missed a letter? When most people get tired they tend to make mistakes. You aren't making for a good debate partner ignoring everything I say and saying I know nothing; it's like talking to a wall. How the hell did I admit I was wrong? Like you said to me you hate logic thus your opinions on the subject are also illogical.

Communist_Soul

What? I pointed out you missed a letter because you kept doing it and I figured you'd want to stop. When I make mistakes I like having them pointed out to me so that I stop making them. I've ignored everything you've said? By posting links to studies that prove you wrong and trying to help explain why your sources aren't credible? How exactly does that work? I never said to you that I hate logic...I never said to anyone that I hate logic. I've never even MENTIONED logic. What are you talking about?

Sure, I know how to spell it a silly error. Not worth the time to point it out. I don't recall seeing links to your studies. Must have mixed you up with another user. Well this has gone no where I'm off.

You've spelled it wrong every time you've spelled it. I don't think you knew how to spell it. I also don't care much, which is why I briefly pointed out your error. In a parenthetical aside. Then you accused me of discrediting you based on spelling and/or grammar, which I never once came close to doing, and said because of that you wouldn't even MENTION anything else I said. And I linked to 30 years of studies from around the world, all saying marijuana use, at the very least, does not increase your risk of car accidents. A few of them said it actually lowered your risk. You posted a link to a study with dead links for sources, a very badly done study about marijuana and driving, and an article saying a kid fell out of the window while the mom was in the other room smoking (the same thing would've happened if she were cooking anything, reading anything, watching TV, going to the bathroom, writing a letter, making kool-aid, etc. etc.).

Don't worry I made sure my post was filled with errors so he could say my point is dumb.

Communist_Soul

I never used your lack of proper spelling or grammar as evidence for your arguments being unsound. What you've basically just said is that you refuse to debate me on the issues we're actually discussing because of something I didn't do. In other words, you've just admitted you're wrong.

Good job you're trying to prove you're by pointing out flaws in spelling in grammar. You are cool.

Works vice virsa.

Communist_Soul

in his defense, he didn't only talk state your grammar in his sentence.

You have detailed knowledge (first hand accounts only, your studies) on weed and its affects on the human body? You understand as much as I do.

Communist_Soul

States allow marijuana to be used for medical reasons. They do this because of the huge amount of research showing these medical benefits, and the huge number of studies done showing that marijuana is not significantly harmful. ONLY the federal government says otherwise. The same federal government that enforces marijuana prohibition, which is in direct opposition of the Constitution of the United States of America. Does that tell you anything?

The medical benefits are only useful to people who benefit from it, otherwise it is harmful to those that don't use it. I want legalised if you read my past posts.

I don't care if you want it legalized (it has a Z, not an S, come on). How do you respond to the numerous studies that AREN'T funded by the federal government saying that marijuana is not significantly harmful to humans?

Non-sense sure as soon as you get weed out of the holy light you put it in saying its perfectly safe.

Communist_Soul

How many times to i have to repeat myself. Stop bashing things you clearly dont understand.
