I am looking at getting a tv between 42 and 50 "s for the purpose of TV, Xbox 360, and computer monitor. I am more of a Plasma fan and yes I know that people will mention burn in but I know that burn in is no longer a problem with plasmas. My real question is.... What is more important? contrast or resolution? When I go to stores looking at TVs I always notice that most plasmas only go up to 720p whiles lcds go up to 1080p. But at the same time I notice that LCDs contrast ratio only goes up to about 8000:1 where as Plasmas are around 30,000:1. That is a huge increase for the plasma tv.

So basically, even though plasmas go up to 720p, would the picture still be better than a 1080p LCD due to the fact that they have such a higher contrast ratio? Plus I have read over and over again online that the human eye can make little difference between 720p and 1080p but contrast ratio is very easily noticed. Plus plasmas are supposed to have true blacks and much richer colors and have a larger viewing range.

Thanks

I am looking at an Axim X51v and know that they have a 3d excellorator in it and has a fast processor in handeld terms. If you don't already know, people have been able to get Quake 3 to play on pocket pcs. My question is... If an Ipod Touch can play it at really smooth rates, shouldn't an Axim that has quicker processor and 16mb of dedicated video memory be able to play it as good or better?

Thanks

Look, a third party who is throwing everything they have to make a great Wii game. A game that doesn't exist on the Wii. It's called The Conduit. This game is looking interesting and has my full attention. It's companies like this that Nintendo needs. I love Mario games but I am getting tired of them. The last few worthy games to buy for the Wii were all Marioisk games such as SSBB, Super Mario Bros Srikers, and Galaxy. Comon. I am starting to feel like I bought a Mario box where anything worth playing is Mario Based. CHeck this game out on IGN and spread the word. It will be good. It looks darn good too.

I know the 8800gt is a better card in single mode but I have read that 3970 is better in crossfire. Is this true?

Also btw is the 680i a much better board than the 650i? The main difference is the fact that the 650i only runs 8x by 8x in sli mode while the 680i runs in 16x by 16x. Is this a huge difference in performance? I have been told by a gentleman at a computer store that it doesn't really cause any performance concerns. He's alo one that said that crossfire is much better than SLI, which is what much of the comparison sights seem to be saying.

thanks

I am needing a new motherboard for around $100. I am getting a Q6600 and 2 gigs of PC 6400 ram. What I am wanting to know is... Is there a huge difference in performancebetween the P31, the P35, or the 650i? I am not doing Sli. Please let me know.

Thank You

I am trying to decide between the two. I know that the 3870 physically is more powerful but all benchmark comparisons have shown that the 8800gt outperfroms the 3870 in most games (except bioshock). Might the 3870 become better than the 8800gt once new drivers are distributed? Please let me know. I have no biad towards either brand, just whatever works the best.

Thank You.
