I think Dave Chappelle said it best, "He made Thriller dawg...Thriller."

How are people's lives ruined when they win the lottery? Care to elaborate?

We SHOULD be equal but folks are certainly not always treated that way.

Also equal opportunity employment laws that I'm aware of simply say you can't hire and fire in a discriminatory manner. No hard percentages are involved that I'm aware of.

duxup

I wish I believed that the non-discriminatory laws were only for such things. I am, however, left to wonder why I had to check the "white" box every time I applied for a job.

First off, let me start by saying that the term "race" is rediculous. There are varying skin pigments and hair concentrations/make-ups based on location. We are all the same species and thusly...are all "equal".

This brings me to my point: How on Earth is it at all fair to maintain an equal ratio of different colors of people at the workplace? If you are the most qualified, you should get the job...end of story. Why do the less-deserving have a better chance at a career of their choosing based on minor genetic differences that they had no control over?

Don't even try to tell me that it is because of slavery...how many descendants of slave-owning families are still around? Not to mention that half of the Americans during the days of slave trade lived in the north and never bought or sold a human life. I know, personally, that my family came over from Poland right around the turn of the century, and never owned a slave...does this mean I am exempt from these employment rules?

What are you guys' takes on this? Don't hold back now!

Why not...except that EVERYBODY would consider this racist...even though we are all equal and entitled to the same rights as the next guy.

Kind of like how I am a white male with a bachelor's degree...but if I apply for the same job as a black man who may not be as qualified I will not get the offer simply because there are less people with his skin pigment than mine...BS

Newton by far and no one even came close, the guy changed our understanding of the universe more than any other person and that was before he was even 25 years old. He makes me feel every lazy.

Wolls

No way...Einstein made discoveries about things that had yet to be observed using only his equations and a new way of thinking.

Isaac Newton did incredible things but all of them involved explaining things that he had observed around him. Mr. Einstein took an idea like gravity and explained exactly what it was and how it worked...discovering a 4th dimension beyond our perception in the process...that is incredible.

Why has nobody told him that if he doesn't use 64-bit he can't get all 4 B of his RAm recognized...completely negating any potential ains he MIGHT get from a 32-bit OS.

64-bit runs faster and when programs are specifically written to take advantae of 64-bits they run much faster as well. Go 64-bit if your processor supports it or you won't even be able to use all of your RAM.

K...you don't have Steam then...you obviously have the EA download manager...just shut that down and restart it. If it still says a program is installing...check in the program for a status bar...or something you could cancel.
