@Jdzspace: As much as I am pro PC, you are pretty much right about this. Despite all the horse power a good pc can bring to the table, it means absolutely nothing since all we get are crappy ports that are not designed to utilize a PC's power. We need only look at fiascos like Arkham Knight to see this. I think Gabe has messed up on this one. Those who like playing consoles will stick with their favorite system makers because they will have gaming exclusives. Those who like their PCs will continue to put money into them as they will get a far better return than the watered down components of a steam machine. This console might lure in a few people who don't know any better, but I can't imagine it attracting many long time gamers.
Nice article and you actually touched on a lot of what I also saw as the good and bad of this episode. Some of the characters are just god awful and you really do just know who's going to bite the bullet, so you really don't care what their story is cause you know it won't lead anywhere, that's just not good in this kinda game. Much like Ben from last season, I just don't like how Telltale adds these so obvious "screws everything up and you know I am gonna be zombie food characters"
Choices just don't seem to matter in this game though which is my biggest gripe, as the article mentions, no matter what you do really, good or bad, everything ends in the same place. I mean of course life never works out the way we wish and bad things happen, but even in the show, there are moments of hope too when one chooses to keep their humanity and not give into their baser instincts. Here it's just bad bad bad no matter what you do, like in an earlier episode you get chewed out simply for having taken a picture of a girl who desperately wanted a friend. There is a fine line between painting a bleak world, and then just leaving no surprise for the player, when you can go "saw that coming" I think you are failing in the narrative. Don't get me wrong, it's an entertaining ride, but they are moving too far into cliche territory for me, I hope they end strong with the next episode, seeing as how they've already been greenlit for season 3.
a decent expansion, however I don't like that trading between players has been all but eliminated. This really makes gearing up a pain, I may have an item someone else is looking for and they may have one I want. It's pretty much tough luck though since almost EVERYTHING is BoA I upgrade out of my gear and a friend may have a less geared character of the same class, but that doesnt matter, can't give my stuff to them. Sure this eliminates the pay to win atmosphere, but at the same time it eliminates one of the more fun aspects of previous diablo games.
Superfluous, and no doubt costs a small fortune. All to showcase a mediocre game to boot. I guess I'm the type who isn't impressed by running a game at 4 k, I would rather the title itself be amazing gameplay wise.
The wii U is a piece of garbage, no real news there, of course no one wants to make games for it. Nintendo should have gotten out of the console business ages ago, Kind of a shame to see them in this state considering I grew up on the NES, SNES etc,
ughhh wish this gender issue would die already. We've had plenty of games in recent times that didn't feature "damsels in distress" and what if they do? so what? I'm less worried about gender equality than I am about people making the games they want without being criticized for it.
