Have you ever tried eating anything other than chips while playing something like America's Army, where 1/4 of a second can make all the difference between life and death? I have and it's not pretty I tell ya.  Not eating while playing unless I absolutely have to save time.

I always try and finish the game no matter how bad it gets. At least if I give it a bad review later I can honestly say to have seen the whole thing. There were a few exceptions however:

1.  Rainbow Six Lockdown, after a few hours. Reason: disgust, after realising just how shallow and broken the game was compared to a normal Rainbow Six game

2. Prince of Persia Two Thrones. The last battle was so hard that at the thought of how much time I will have to spend to get it right, repating the same sequence of keys over and over and over again, I just turned the game off and forgot about it. I'm so happy the old days of simplistic arcade games are over. If I played some of those games now, I would go so mad that I'd start a killing spree outside my home. Death to the repetitive gameplay!

3. Rsident Evil Nemesis. During one of the early boss fights the bad controls pissed me off so much that I think I kind of kicked the PS and it kind of broke. That was at the very end of my PS era.

4. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. about 30 minutes, from boredom and annoyance. I think it was...I got a game not realising that I was already tired of THPS series.

5. City Life. about 30 minutes, boredom. Somehow I got my hopes up that this would be more interesting than SimCity 4. It was much less interetsing. Maybe I'm just over SimCity-like gameplay.

No hype, just brilliant gameplay. The ability to shape your own species, the deep system of evolution, the social aspect and just the sheer scale of the thing makes me go "woooooow..."

P.S. The graphics were ok. I don't understand what yall talking about...

Thanks, seems like Rfactor is a really good choice. I'm amazed it only has 100 or so reactions and no Gamespot review (aparently they don't import games from EU to review them).

Yeah I played the original too, and I guess the new one would be similar but a little better. Nevertheless, I really need some comparison.

I searched through the forums and didn't find a thread on this...surprisingly...so here it goes:

I like simulators and I'm about to get a steering wheel so I was going for a racing sim to go with it. I'm wondering what the most realistic one was in the sence of vehicle behavior, parts tweaking and graphics. I'm currently deciding between RACE the WTCC game and GTR2, but I know there are many others. I know Live For Speed is supposed to be very realistic but it's on-line only.

Can sim enthusiasts help out?

P.S. I don't want this to turn into game wars "This is better" "No, this is better". I'm looking for supportive arguments.

Solitare!!EmilioDigsIt

Hmm...good call....not exactly recent unless you just bought your first ever PC...

OK. How about this, what's the game with the least amount of bugs released in the recent time?

Is there such a thing? Every game I touched in the last few...years actually..has contained at least a small list of glitches. Why don't the developers play through the game several times on random machines before sending it into production?

Does anyone know a recently released game that is completely free of texture clipping, crashes, scripting mistakes or incompatabilities? This is not a ritorical question, I really want to find a game like that.
