Here's what I think Nintendo should do in the next Zelda:
1) Use all the good points of their past games: They can, for example, use the sanity meter which they held patent, Majora Mask's time progression (which makes it feel more alive), and numerous other good points that we may have forgotten that they had used but not anymore.
2) "More Sandbox". With the chrono barrier in place, they need less geographical barrier. In real life, sometimes you skip some stuff due to the time, not your location.
3) Closer mimic of sword movements. What turns me off in TP is that, for vertical slash, I have to lock on first. I don't mean complete sword movement mimic, but something close, similar to one of the possible No more Heroes' control scheme (and I am not talking about the press A button) or Dragon Quest Sword.
4) Less hub. Instead of having a single hub based structure, may be a more circular linear progression, or multiple hubs (so we can travel to numerous towns anytime, for example, where quest unlock progressively)?
5) Allies to fight with: They have battlion war(and the upcoming version for wii); they can incorporate those elements of commanding into it, allowing you to control allies.
6) Zelda musou: I highly doubt that, when enemies besieging the castle, is limited to ten or so... maybe something like the Dynasty warrior can be done. Hey, Mario 128 had lead to pikman, so we can expand on that and show just as many grunts on it.

Other nice to have features:
1) More interaction with other characters... especially Zelda. what I like about Link's Awakening is that you spend quite a bit time with Marin, which is equivalent to zelda in the game. So, someway to spend more time with her... it's legend of Zelda, afterall.
1a) Incoporate renai elements. Extend it to other female characters. Come on, Link is just a ladies' man.
2) Voice acting: Can't resist it. sorry.

When I look at the wiimote-nunchuk combo, one thing cam eto my mind: Mecha control!

Knwoing that star Fox 2 have a transformable Arwing, do you think we will see mecha in the next star fox?

There is one problem with the idea of "copying": not everyone think that Wiimote is a good idea, and I am not talking about "because it's on different console". I know, for example, a guy who just hate the fact that SIXAXISrequire him to move around. While MS may use EEE on most things, and may seems to have break many things, they are still more of the company that would rather improve existing stuff then to try radical new stuff.

Starfox: Mercenary war. MMORPG. Pick either Star Fox or star wolf, free roam thru Lylet system, try to complete mission objectives or grind while shooting down/evade enemy fighters to win the mercenary war. One of the star is gonna be the "hub" where chaos ensure, as around 128 fighters from each side try to shoot the other guys down.

So its really short should i buy it or renttF_x_CamPeR
Buy it. Because of the following: 1) Good for multiplayer 2) Good as diagonse tool (just to make sure that wiimote is working)

However, what made Eternal Darkness unique (the tri system and mentality challenge) is placed under protection of a patent made to nintendo, so should nintendo want to make a spirtual squel to this, it is possible. for all i know, this can be the system used in the next Zelda game.

I heard that one of the many reason jeff complained about TP is the control is tact-on. however, just how tact-on is the control? I want an honets opinion, BTW.
