What about this, isnt Thermaltake good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153023seanroxors
That power supply is better than the others, but still its a bit small. Thermaltake touhpower line is the only good ones they make, as in the rest of their psu's do not compete with the toughpower line. So If you wan't to take a slight risk get it, it should work fine 18A on 12v looks satisfactory.

I dunno 7-8 cores whatever is alot... PS3's may not be that good, but therer are probably better versions that will go to the desktop, the ps3's one is probably destroy even a qx6700 maybe in doing alot of simultenous things because tehres so many cores, but they are built differently, so it actually may be completely worse hard 2 tell.

1 gig + dual chanel is beter if you did that you would either need 1 gig +2- 512, 2, 1 gigs, or 4x512 also it doesn't have to be the same brand to run in dual channel. You can use pc5400 and pc6400 in dual channel if you want, the faster one will lower its speeds.

[QUOTE="RayvinAzn"][QUOTE="seanroxors"]That funny though because this RAIDMAX has lasted me years with no problems....anyway... as cheap as possible... how does this one look? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817713001

That power supply looks terrible. Most of the people that used it seem to agree with me.

70% efficiency ha ha! 2nd one is also crap, go for it risking damage

When the system crashes or runs too hot, if it is unstable I would reccomend keep going until your temp hits 60C, if you experience a crash, try raising the voltage for your cpu, if that still does not work your ram may not be able to keep up.

YOu don't need water cooling to overclock, i got my qx6700 from 2.66 ghz to 3.4 on air, of course its not stable :P. Anyways just go into your bios and raise your fsb, Just do the math, im guessing your multiplier is around 16? so just do the math, It may do it automatically, I would first bump it to 3.0 ghz then keep going from there. I would reccomend pc wizard download at cpuid.com then do a stress test such as OCCT, or orthos and take the max temp anything below 60C is fine, unless you got a qx6700 X-D, mine can get to 80C on intel tat
