@59Hertz @JimmeyBurrows Because they will never spend more money than they need to, with the PS3 they had to have games people wanted. With the PS4 people are already saying it's mostly shovelware, this is because they just need to keep it going until enough people swap their PS3 for a PS4, then they may even cancel the free games completely.
I'm not stating this as facts, just assumptions based on the most likely outcome from my perspective.
On the multiplayer front, it remains to be seen. If they don't make people pay for the peer2peer crap then I'd say it's a good move, but if we don't see a crap ton of dedicated servers for every online game, then it's just money grabbing the way Microsoft did it with the 360.
@59Hertz @JimmeyBurrows @bob15x Stating why it needed to be done doesn't make it any less so... Also without the free games, why would you bother with PSplus without a PS4?
And yes I think Xbox gold is a load of bollocks, paying them to use Netflix is laughable.
@59Hertz @bob15x How does it not make sense? PS3 needs the games as a hook for subs, meanwhile the PS4 wont let you play online without it, so they aren't going to spend as much money paying to get games on the plus.
Question... If PS plus stops supporting a console... What happens to the "free" games you've accumulated for it?
Not saying the Gold sub is any better, I imagine both will force you to pay for extra Dlc and therefore force devs to cut more out of the games and sell separately.
@twisted_sith @Patohua1 @repetitious I'm sure they're all writhing in agony over the loss of a few mildly entertaining videos being gone... If that's more important to them than some of the other problems the world is currently facing, then their opinion should be null and void.
