I play on the easiest setting if I'm new to the game or franchise when I have the choice so I can get to know the story. When the story is irrelevant, I play on more difficult settings

I used to play a lot of driving and racing games and decided that I wanted to break free of just playing them and only them. Within the past year, I have become fascinated with other series that a few years ago I wouldn't have thought about. As a result I'm having a great deal of fun playing through games such as Borderlands and Dead Space whilst broadening my horizons by looking forward to playing through the Bioshock series (I'm a latecomer to that party, I see). Add to that scouring through good second hand deals to broaden my library. That's said, if I want to play the latest and greatest - especially if it's a sequel - I like to play through the entire franchise. I did this with Assassin's Creed and totally overcome by it because I got the sense of the game evolving as it went on in parallel to the narrative. I know this isn't true for all games but it gives me a chance to expand my collection which I see is never a bad thing.

I've already pre-ordered mine. Apparently I get to use the blimp. Which is all I really need...

I wholeheartedly can say that I don't support the system wars fully. I like to see a glimmer of hope in everything but this article made me chuckle... http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/49990/xbox-one-what-does-it-mean-for-wii-u/ What do you forumers think? Laugh-worthy or is does this speak truths? Over to you...

Gran Turismo 5 is a great sim and the amount of attention to detail is incredible but I think a good starting point would be NFS: Hot Pursuit. There's no story so you can dip in and out whenever but my favourite thing is the online play is brilliant. There's something too satisfying about smashing someone else off in an Aston Martin decked out like a police car... Or Burnout Paradise. Either or, you can't really go wrong with a good ol' fashioned arcade where crashing into other cars is essential!
