so many people here are SOOO independent and don't pay attention to reviews. go rebels~!

i actually do care about reviews, because i like purchasing good games, and i feel that reviews are one of the many things i take into account in making decisions regarding which games to purchase. since stalker: cs is getting only decent reviews, i'm going to wait for what gamers here say about the game before making a decision. if it had gotten great reviews (or even very good reviews), i'd have bought it without hesitation.

there are some monsters that jump at you and stuff, and the atmosphere adds a lot to the scare factor, but it's not really a scary game, imo. not sure that a 12 year-old would like the game though.

[QUOTE="biggest_loser"][QUOTE="Noldorin2646"][QUOTE="biggest_loser"]

Miranda Kerr as Alyx Vance.

I think we need Corky Romano in there someone - not the actor - the character Corky Romano.

How come this thread was resurrected? And anyway, I just want Kate Beckinsale in the movie somehow, doesn't matter if they have to invent a new character.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Kate Beckinsale as Eli Vance?

Yes. I think so!

Oh no. Eli's ending in Episode 2 makes me wish Kate were someone like Dr. Kleiner.She's talented, she could pull it off.

i want her to crash the party as her underworld character (vampire in tight leather, ftw!).

my no one lives forever 2 recommendation is being ignored, but i'll recommend some good rts games: dawn of war, world in conflict, homeworld 1 & 2, sins of a solar empire, age of empires series, age of mythology, starcraft, and rise of nations.

KOTOR 2 wasn't that bad, sure it was really slow to start off with (running around a mining faculty, yay! :() and there were a couple of areas that needed more polish, but it was still a great game.

The story was pretty good once it got started, and the gameplay was still good as well.

agreed. i never understood why people hate kotor 2 so much. it's just more of kotor, it seems, and that's a good thing, imo.

[QUOTE="JnWycliffe"]the steam version is fantastic. get it. and enjoy.Noldorin2646

Sounds good, I'll probably pick it up this weekend. Although, I might not have enough time to play long sessions (thank you college!), I remember I was able to go through KotOR with 1 to 2 hour sessions whereas Deus Ex always took more than 3 in a sitting to really get into it. Is VtM:B a game more in the vein of KotOR or Deus Ex?

well, it took me a bit to get into it, but i don't think many people experience this problem. from the very getgo, you meet some really interesting characters (coupled with fantastic acting!); even character creation is very interesting. once vampire gets its fangs in you, you won't be able to stop playing. once you take a bite out of this game, you'll understand why this is one of the greatest rpgs of all time. it's just that bloody good. oh yes, my puns suck and smell bad like garlic.
