20 Hours Into Oblivion

So far, I've logged over 20 hours in Oblivion, and I'm loving it. The game really feels immersive, like you're in this living, breathing world where you can do whatever you want. The occasional A.I. glitches are evident, but they don't bother me at all, in fact, I find them funny. Slashing your fellow warrior in the back with your sword and hearing them say "Hey, I'm on your side!" is just priceless... So my character is a level 9 Dark Elf of the Berserker class (That's a custom class I made). The character development feels very deep and involved, like you actually have an influence on how this character will turn out. Things like birthsigns, for instance, are very innovative and clever. Since I decided for my character to be born under "The Warrior" birthsign, his Strength and Endurance stats are boosted. Overall, Oblivion is not only my favorite Xbox 360 game so far, but also one of the best games I have ever played. Don't expect a review from me for a while...

I Quit!

It is unbearable to be on the Xbox 360 board anymore. The mods put up an Oblivion Discussion Thread so that people wouldn't have to suffer through countless threads like "What class should I be?" or "Kameo is better than Oblivion!". It's just unbearable. I can't stand it anymore! People keep claiming that they have a gamerscore of 10,000, yet they don't give out their gamertag. Everybody there is level 2 and has 14 posts. You know what? I don't care if you rented a game from Blockbuster a few minutes ago, I really don't!

Oblivion (Updated)

That's right. No clever titles. You see, I am so close to Oblivion... I can smell it. The Collector's Edition... oh yes. As of right now, there's 1 hour and 37 minutes left until GameStop in Kahala opens. So I can probably drive from Makiki to Kahala in 10 minutes... unless I leave early! Yes, that's it... I'll keep you guys updated... ~~~ Alright, I got it! All I can say is "Wow!". It's just so open-ended and... awesome! At first I thought the tone in this game would be constantly dark and dreary, but after I killed some giant rats and some trolls, and got out of the sewers... it was amazing! You step out in to the world and it's just breathtaking! I'll have a review up eventually... (It will probably take months), but this is definitely my favorite Xbox 360 game so far. If you like games, buy this game. The graphics are so beautiful! You have to play it to believe it! Plus, I bought the Collector's Edition, so I got a 120-page handbook, novelty coin, and DVD. Off to play more Oblivion!

Stadium Arcadium

Finally, a new Red Hot Chili Peppers album! I've been an R.H.C.P. fan for a long time, and their last album came out four years ago! I really think they're making a comeback this time around. On May 9th, Stadium Arcadium is coming! I also switched my default G.R.A.W. class to Grenadier. It's freakin' sweet! So I want to know: What's your favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers song?

I'm a Ghost Recon n00b

So the game still says that I'm level 1, which is a Private. I've been trying to work my way to level 2, Private First Class. Now, I've only been playing Player Matches, and that may not affect my level... could somebody clarify this for me? Anywho... yeah, G.R.A.W. is awesome. My default class is an Automatic Rifleman (also known as a Gunner). This class is the best at handling machine guns like the M60, which also happens to be my favorite weapon. Not only is the M60 really powerful, but each clip hold 100 bullets, which is great, because I have horrible aim. :| The downside to the M60 is that it doesnt have a scope. It still has the standard left-trigger zoom, but it doesn't have the powerful zoom that many other weapons have. But enough about the M60! Anywho... I've been playing this NES emulator I downloaded (I swear I own those games!), and it's pretty sweet. Very smooth framerate, unlike that GBA emulator I was playing a couple of months ago. By the way, do you like my new profile picture? :D

HDTV Pic

Sorry about the picture quality, this was taken with my phone. Here they are: ~~~ Before ~~~ After ~~~ Expect some gameplay pics within the next few days (taken with a good camera). :P Oh, and don't make fun of those posters in the background, they're from a long, long time ago.

My New HDTV

Yes, you read it correctly! I just got a 32" Philips LCD HDTV. Oh... it smells so good. :P Here's the thing: I can't get it to work. I fooled around with cables for about an hour and a half last night (I'm not a genius at this stuff or anything), so I called my friend Robert (this guys probably knows how to hack into the Pentagon's databases  ). He said that I needed component cables, which makes a ton of sense, but what doesn't make sense is that things like my GameCube won't work either. The sound will work, but no picture. Pictures coming soon. :D ~~~ EDIT: Robert came, and it's up and running! It's amazing!!! Pics are coming soon...

Of Mice and Men and Ghost Recon

I read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck yesterday. If you're not familiar with the book, it's extremely short, and that's how I read it in one day. It's a pretty sad book, but I'm not gonna go into detail since this is a gaming website. Anywho... I got G.R.A.W., and it's freakin' awesome! Add me to your friends list if you want to play. So yeah... that's pretty much it. I'll see you guys on Live!

I've waited this long...

I'm really looking forward to Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, but I have a lot of work to do. It should be in at GameStop tomorrow, but I have some book reports due the day after... so I've got to read two books tomorrow. Yay. I guess Wednesday will come soon enough, of course, stuff always gets here a day late anyway. Sigh. :|
