i would say just switch to firefox, it gives you one notification but it doesnt strobe you to death, plus you can easily go into about:config and turn flashing off in firefox...

it seems that the official definition of legacy is that it is not the current generation of consoles, not sure on the definition of legacy for pc, but considering platforms were on a 6 year cycle on average for who knows how long i think a safe bet for pc games is it must be 6 years old... of course in my mind legacy is n64 and older, red alert 2/civ3 era and older, but that's just me, some kids here weren't born when RA2 came out...
how about "Oh this is just wrong... I'm coughing up blood that ain't mine!" - Damon Baird, Gears of War 2, after killing a giant rock worm... from the inside.
for some old school that's not too old try Freelancer, Fable: The Lost Chapters, anything made by valve (ever), throw in NFS: Most Wanted, then a little CIV3, mabye some C&C (any of them). oh and dont forget COD4, Sins of a Solar Empire wasn't bad either...
Dont forget to check out Fable: The Lost Chapters. It's addictive and has a long storyline and has a reasonable amount of hidden items and secrets to keep you occupied. do yourself a favor though and dont get a FAQ or walk-thru the first time, it ruins it... Fable 2 wasnt quite the game that the first was, give it a try, but no guarantees you'll like it...
