I'm a HUGE fan of Zappa and Omar's guitarwork with ATDI, but come on, this is just a ridiculous comparison to make especially considered none of the rappers you chose have any real artistic merit other than Kanye. I mean, GZA could never write those brilliant guitar parts on Relationship of Command, but there's no way Omar could rap as well as GZA on Liquid Swords either.

The ignorance in this thread is absolutely astounding. Playing guitar and rapping are not evenly remotely comparable and both take large amounts of skill to be done at high quality, period. Next time you're able to spit rhymes as councious as the ones found on Nas's Illmatic or as cool and conceptial as those on Deltron 3030 then maybe you can claim rapping requires little skill.

Also, if you've had any experience in mixing and musical production you'd know that producing beats and sampling is far from easy, especially to do well. See The Beastie Boy's Paul's Botique and DJ Shadow's Entroducing, two albums that have widespread acclaim due to their fantastically made beats thanks to the talented and dedicated producers behind them (Entroducing is instrumental for christ's sake).

He's an above average rapper and an incredible producer. College Dropout and MBDTW were great albums.

I'm a huge fan of the more extreme forms of punk and hardcore. And the only "metal" i really listen to consistently is grindcore and death metal, so naturally I enjoy it alot. Screaming/growling done right makes certain types of mucic far more intense and worthwile in my opinion.

death metal and screamo are my 2 most hated genres and whoever likes them should be put to death for being a disease to societyDr_Yeezy_3000

I have a feeling you couldn't name a single actual screamo band.

As far as death metal goes I enjoy some old school Cryptopsy, Suffocation, and Death. I'm also a rather large Grindcore fan. Good music if you're in the right mood.
