Meh, I I like turning in more than one direction. :PsoulitaneLucky for you that NASCAR has 2 road courses then.

Well you may want to check this game out. Ed Martin is heading the project and he's the one who worked with Papyrus on Nascar Racing 2003, NASCAR Heat, and the NASCAR Thunder series. Pretty much anything in the last 15 years that was an amazing NASCAR game he had a hand in. This is the first NASCAR game I have pre-ordered since 2003!Haven't played a NASCAR game in years. Was always surprised at the strategy it took and patience you had to have when racing on certain tracks.

43 cars + the most realistic damage model in any game on consoles featuring officially licensed cars + Bristol + Driving Force GT + HDTV + 5.1 surround sound = most exciting racing game on consoles imo![QUOTE="Jrfanfreak88"][QUOTE="Wanderer5"]
*yawn* Probably would be more boring then GT5 for me, through I sure 43 cars races would be intense.

Nah that would go to more arcady racers like Burnout Paradise. I need to start playing NfS: Hot Pursuit speaking of which.
Burnout Paradise is amazing (I've sunk a good 20-30 hours into my copy) but once I switched to playing games with a wheel it just didn't have that same wow factor anymore. Plus the gameplay is a bit shallow, I mean one random car gets in your way and you just wasted a good 5 minutes of your life because of something mostly out of your control. The wrecks are amazing and the environment is quite impressive but all of the cars are fake and as you mentioned it's an arcade racer, it doesn't take much skill to be half decent in Burnout. NASCAR on the other hand requires you to constantly be better than 42 other drivers at some of the most physically and mentally taxing tracks in all of video games. Plus, since the tracks are simple shapes there is a lot of research and development to be done to gain that extra .1 seconds which could be the difference between first and 20th. Don't get me wrong I love a good arcade racing game and that's what most gamers would get into but if you are a REAL fan of motorsports/cars then the real fun is in games like this or GT5 or Forza. Driving GT5's NASCAR at Daytona, online, with my wheel is intoxicating because of how real it feels.Meh...V8 supercars are exciting but so is NASCAR. I think NASCAR is more exciting but I know not everyone else does. The game though is looking very very good and I hope the people reviewing the game will take into account what appears to be some amazing technical achievements with damage.V8 Supercars>>>Nascar
But looking good none the less.

On March 29th (May 24th for the Wii), Eutechnyx and Activision will release their first official NASCAR game, NASCAR 2011. This is the first official NASCAR game to be released in over 2 years!
Here are some of the main features:
43 car field. This is over 5 times the amount of cars racing at once compared to forza 3 and more than triple the amount of cars usually seen in a typical GT5 race.
The most detailed damage model for any game using official cars and sponsorship licenses! Sheet metal can fly off other cars and damage you car too! GT5 and Forza don't even come close!
Differing car interiors based upon the real car models. Drivers are also accurately modeled. Something never seen in any EA Sports NASCAR game!
All 43 drivers and 23 tracks, a first for a NASCAR game in a very long time! Once again, the drivers are all modeled like they are in real life, a first for any NASCAR console game!
Custom paint schemes can be made with up to 1000 different layers. GT5 has no such thing. Paint schemes can be shared online with the PS3 but CAN NOT be shared over the 360.
Officially licensed cars, all four manufacturers are represented, something missing from NASCAR 09 and NASCAR 08's COT models.
Ty Norris is your spotter, something drivers in real life have, which is also missing from GT5 and Forza 3.
Yellow flags/cautions happen just like they do in real life, something that doesn't happen in GT5 or other racing "sims".
There will be 16 player online races, the same as GT5 and more than Forza 3.
Plenty of car set up options that rival Forza and GT5. MORE car set up options than GT5 during pit stops!
PRN race introductions!
Day to night transitions! Forza doesn't even have these!
Split screen multiplayer featuring 18 a.i. drivers! GT5's split screen features no A.I. drivers!
FREE 2011 DLC featuring all of the 2011 cars/drivers, REPAVED Daytona Superspeedway, and new points system! Releases May or June!
Here are some links to some must see youtube videos!!!

NASCAR 2011: The Game is only one week away and so far appears to be a huge improvement over NASCAR 09. I'll update this post as reviews and other new items are released!
I own a macbook pro and I love playing L4D2 and Portal on it but my fiance's Sony lap top that was half the price of my Mac plays the exact same games much better than my Mac does. I HATE windows, but if you wanna do tons of gaming that's what you'll have to live with.Is there really that much of a lack of support for MAC gaming? I know that STEAM is available. Thinking of grading my computer and want a MAC.
Tell if these Specs are good.
