[QUOTE="Justinge3"][QUOTE="campzor"]paying for elite is cheaper than getting 4 map packs :| and there most likely will be more than 4 this time around.campzor
The fact that they've already planned a lot of DLC before releasing the game. You didn't buy the best game that they could make.

everyone pretty much does it now. I think epic and Naughty God have this 'subscription' similar to elite

You act like it's a good thing. It can only get worse from here.

http://www.gamespot.com/news/call-of-duty-elite-hits-1-million-paid-users-6346484?tag=recent_news%3Btitle%3B1

One million people have already paid to use Call of Duty Elite. Cruel world, why are you filled with morons?

We've already got the Season Pass thing going, why stop there? A few years from now, get ready to be shelling out $50 a year for each of your online multiplayer games, without a doubt will they make each game have to make their users pay to go PLAY online, it will happen if things keep going like this.

IMMINENT COD DEFENSE BRIGADE (too much Dark Souls :P).

MW3 is tight. It is not MW2 rehashed. It is not an unbalanced mess. It is a popular game, yes. It attracts young kids, college guys, and other people "real" gamers claim to find repulsive. Boo hoo. Mute.

Here are the facts about MW2 not being patched. The former employees couldn't patch the game because of the fallout with Activision (not all of them left though). They were restructuring studio talent. They were in such bad shape, IW couldn't even release more than 2 map packs. That says something. You know they want that mula, and couldn't even deliver on making more money by finishing other planned map packs. So, in the end, patching the game was not possible. Unfortunate for gamers who cared about MW2.

Here are the facts about MW3, and why it most likely isn't the tyranny incarnate, uber malicious, turd stain rehash of the video game industry many "real" gamers adamantly believe it to be (Blops has MANY changes as well).

Modern Warfare 3 Additions:

MW3 does a lot to differentiate itself from MW2. Graphics wise? Not much at all (the campaign does provide so awesome set pieces, which I'm sure required engine refinements). The engine overall has some refinements, though most of them won't be immediately noticeable. Probably under the hood stuff. This is the only real downside to the game for me, but nothing major to make me be all like, "No new engine? Pssh! No thanks!". But wait, graphics are that important right :o? What happened to the legendary, oft recited script from the Core Gamers Bible, "Graphics aren't everything. Gameplay is more important!"?

  • 16 mapson the disc; all playable in Spec-Ops Survival as well.
  • DLCwill include new maps, new Spec-ops missions, and multi-player game modes.
  • New game modes (on the disc)
    • Kill Confirmed- players must collect the dog tag of their downed enemy for it to count towards the mission. You can collect the tags of team mates to keep the enemy from scoring. This changes the way deathmatch is played, entirely.
    • Team Defender- two sides fight to gain possession of a single flag and then gain points for keeping hold of it. Sounds like Oddball in Halo.
  • Custom matches
    • Will allow participants to mix and match different elements, settings and features to create user-generated game modes. Elite subscribers will be able to submit their creations to online votes and the best will be made available to the public. There are also several Private game mode templates including 'Drop Zone' where you must hold the zone for team points and care packages; 'Infection' in which the infected team kills opposing team members to bring them across to the sick side; and 'Juggernaut' in which players must kill the Juggernaut and then take on the role themselves. Infinity Ward has also brought over the fun 'One in the Chamber' and 'Gun Game' options from the Black Ops wager matches.
  • New Streak Reward system, split into 3 Strike Packages, each with it's own list of Rewards. There will be 28 streak rewards in all.
    • Assault- players earn rewards though kills, and destroying equipment and vechicles. Examples: Attack Drone, Strafe Run, and Juggernaught.
    • Support- earn pionts through meeting objectives and these points rack up even after death (Pointstreak). Examples: Counter UAV, Recon Drone (controllable), and Ballistic Vest.
      • "It's not focused on getting you more kills," says Bowling, "it's focused on allowing you to be a better team player, allowing you to give things to your team for that situational awareness, to allow them to be better. Things like throwing out a ballistic vest, so that guy who's going into the Dom point can put it on and have more resistance to all the frags coming in."
    • Specialist- aimed at elite players; opens up additional perks with every enw kill threshold. Players can gain up to three additional perks, though, to balance, players are unable to call in air strikes or gain tactical support for their team. Players lose these additional perks when they die.
  • New perks, of course.
  • New weapon progression system:As you build experience with a particular gun, it gains its own XP, which can then be spent on upgrades such as attachments, reticules and camo designs. However, you can also unlock and select different 'weapons proficiencies which act like gun-specific perks. For example, 'Kick' provides reduced recoil when firing, 'Attachments' lets you add two attachments on your primary weapon, 'Focus' reduces the flinch reflex when hit by enemy fire and 'Stability' reduces the sway of the weapon when you're shooting on the move.
    • This is better than the COD Points in Black Ops, because players can't just use the Famas to unlock stuff for other weapons.
    • Dual Scopes- depending on your cIass, you can swap between magnifier and holographic sights on the fly.
  • 40 weaponsin the game
    • The XM25 20mm grenade launcher lets you use the left stick to mark your distance via a laser sight.
  • Universal Player Card- collates and rewards all your achievements from every Call of Duty game you've played on your machine, with attendant loyalty rewards.
  • Prestige Shop- provides a range of in-game rewards every time a player prestiges – this looks to include things like double weapon XP.
  • Dedicated servers on PC-players will able to browse, filter, favorite and join any server they like as well as setting up their own servers and admins with controls over rules, setup and ban lists.
  • Theatre mode, like Black Ops. New for the Modern Warfare series.
  • No more One Man Army, Last Stand (Second Chance), or Commando perks.
  • General knife lunging has been reduced.
  • No Shotguns as secondaries.
  • Grenade damage reduced, and new anti-ballistic features implemented.
  • Call of Duty Elite (Free)
    • Career - all stat tracking (thousands of stats, including real-time match and scoring info, and heatmaps)
    • Join Session and Invites
    • Groups
    • Clans (including schedule and message board)
    • Compete - compete in tournaments
    • Improve - learn new strategies
    • HD video uploading / sharing.
    • Console apps, website, and mobile apps will be available.
  • Call of Duty Elite Premium ($49.99)
    • Subscribers will get a year's worth of downloadable content forModern Warfare 3. That is over 20 pieces of new content, he says, spooled out over monthly content drops. That content will include new maps, new game modes and more, with a total cost of over $60 if purchased separately. If you're a COD player, this is worth it alone, if you buy all the DLC.
    • Access to daily and weekly competitions and events, which will offer both real and virtual prizes.
    • Able to level up their clans in competition (though simply creating or joining a clan is still a free option).
    • Have "eight times" more video sharing capacity than standard users.
    • Have access to "expert strategy and analysis," including tips on guns, maps, and perks, which Hirshberg said would be updated and maintained by "real humans."
    • Subscribers will get to watch "Elite TV",a service of premium episodic entertainment madearound Call of Duty. None of that content is yet created, but Hirshberg suggested that two shows would begin the service: "Friday Night Fights," produced by Ridley and Tony Scott, which will pit real life rivals (like Democrats and Republicans or policemen and firefighters) against each other inCall of Dutymatches; and "Noob Tube," a series produced by Will Arnett and Jason Bateman that will feature the stars "smack talking" over user-created videos from the game.
  • Spec-Ops Mission and Survival (2-players)
    • There will be 16 new time-trial missions.
    • Survival will have unlimited waves, killstreaks/pointstreaks, and its own persistent ranking. New for the series.

I mean, it's quite bewildering to me that MW has to achieve the status of 'change everything or fail'. It's completely unreasonable when compared to other shooters in the industry. What did Battlefied change? Not much, but it's a badass Bad Company 2/ Battlefield 2 experience multiplied by ten, and the best Battelfield game ever made. Probably the best multiplayer game this year, or even this generation. Gears of War 3 completely "change"? Nope. Killzone 3 completely "change"? Nope.

These changes are for the better, the additions are significant for the brand. How can these changes be ignored and simply swept under the rug as "recycled"? Modern Warfare 3 is more of a sequel to COD4 than MW2. It's deep, not the deepest shooter out there, don't get mad. It's fun. It's better balanced (by a mile), and adds many additions for a 2 year dev cycle. It hardly feels like MW2. Looking at it objectively, it's the best COD multiplayer this gen. Strike packages allow for multiple types of play styIes that has never been present in a COD game (not just kills, but objective streaks).

You no like? You no play.(By the way, I love BF3, KZ3, Gears 3 to death. I like more games than you do. I have a wider variety of s*** that I like and enjoy than you do. It's just life bruddas and bruddetes :))

TREAL_Since
TLDR: It's a rehash.

"Fun" is subjective. By your logic, paying $60 for another copy of Modern Warfare 2 is worth it because I had fun.

http://www.legalzoom.com/legal-name-change/name-change-overview.html

It seems that if I use this name change website, I shouldn't need to hire a lawyer for this legal process, especially since my case isn't a complicated one. This saves me TON of money if this is true, instead of hiring a lawyer for $1,000+.

Do you think this will work?
