Im in the same situation. I need a new monitor as well, but i'm having a hard time deciding. I kind of want an Ips for the colour, but usually the response tiems are so much slower. I was thinking about getting this Acer GD235 120hz monitor. Any thoughts on that?

Man you are so lucky!! If I had that kinda dough I would do the same!! All I got is a 460, but i'm probably upgrading to a 670 soon.

I really need a new monitor, but there is so many different choices and so many factors to take into consideration when buying one. First of all... IPS or TN. I have been looking at the Acer GD235 120hz monitor, but its $300, so i've been looking on ebay and I was going to bid on one but I totally forgot and was busy today. The bidding ended at $160, so hopefully another one goes on sale. Do you think this is the right choice or can I get a different monitor that would be a better bang for the buck. I kind of wanted to get an IPS panel, but they are so much more expensive.. like up into the 300$ range, so i'm not sure about that, but if I can find one used than that would be cool. I know tha IPS panels have a slower response time, but I don't think it will make that much of a difference for me, because I'm not really that hardcore about FPS games. I do play the occasional counterstrike,Cod, or Battlefield match, but I don't really think it will be that big of a deal.

Wow... was it really that good? Think I might have to pick it up and give it a try. I heard its a pretty good game, but I kind of just blew it to the side and didn't think much of it. I think i'll probably take that amazon deal.
