 Which scam will that be? People act like there is this global conspiracy that people like Gore is pushing money because he heavily invested in green technologies.. But by that very same logic Gore, and the entire green technology is a drop in the bucket compared to the fossil fuel industries which are hellbent on keeping the current situation profitable to them..

sSubZerOo

It's a socialist scam with caps and credits and all that crap. Shifting money from wealthy countries to poor ones in name of the 'climate'.

That scam has been exposed and has failed.

 That doesn't even make fvcking sense because the poor countries are the GREATEST offenders of environmental violations.. The fact of the matter is you make this out to be some scam or conspiracy? By who? Poor countries? Socialists? Green energy companies? Man you just narrowed down really WEAK political and economic groups there, and yet you some how think they are the ones that are overpowering the trillion dollar fossil fuels industry.. Seriously this has to be a mental illness.

That's the whole point. Wealth redistribution to the poor 'dirty' countries with caps/credits from the wealthy 'green' ones.

Think you need to look up what the global carbon credit goals are.

It's taking long enough for everyone to come along.  I was skeptical of human caused global warming when Al-Gore did his "Inconvienient truth".  I'll tell you now that there are many convienient lies in Gore's presentation.

I actually wrote an article for my highschool paper that disproved man-made global warming, but most everyone just laughed.

Who's laughing now, huh?

GOGOGOGURT

I hear you. I've been on here for years arguing humans don't drive climate and was called a 'flat-earther' by some.

After this latest IPCC report finally acknowledges what I saw for years (low climate sensitivity, way overestimated CO2 impact) I would call anyone who claims human drive the climate a 'flat-earther'. The models, the reality doesn't match the human-caused climate rhetoric.

[QUOTE="HoolaHoopMan"]Apparently it does as its projected to reduce the deficit according the CBO. That's the whole point of the individual mandate, to get more people into the insurance pool. HoolaHoopMan

Apparently it doesn't, since people will simply only be able to afford insurance, not actual health care.

Yes, because the health care in this country consists of nothing but catastrophic injuries.

The whole point is Obamacare doesn't address cost of healthcare. And it is causing out of pocket costs to rise even faster than the rise of healthcare.

It's a royal mess. It takes a flawed system and makes it worse.

Global warming is real. Climate change has always happened.

Humans driving the climate is a hoax or faith. IPCC way overestimated the impact of CO2 and climate sensitivity.

HoolaHoopMan

Like a broken record.  I've wondered how a person's brain, like yourself, can successfully shelter itself from reality.

It's called science. When your predictions are way off because your calculation overestimated a variable then there is obviously something wrong with the model. In the IPCC's case that error is climate sensitivity and CO2 impact. And that's a fact.

[QUOTE="percech"]This is so goddamn stupid. Why are people getting lynched for being careful about protecting the environment, even if they are wrong? Since when is that a bad thing?AdamPA1006

Its not a bad thing. You are free to do and spend your money on that. Just dont force others to do it.

Exactly. It's like a faith....if that spending or 'donation' makes him feel better than go for it. Just don't expect me to do it as well.

[QUOTE="HoolaHoopMan"]So if you didn't have any coverage instead of a bronze plan you'd pay....all of it? How is that scenario any better? HoolaHoopMan

His point has been, if you'd bothered to read, is that Obamacare doesn't address the cost of healthcare.

Apparently it does as its projected to reduce the deficit according the CBO. That's the whole point of the individual mandate, to get more people into the insurance pool.

lol...nope. Cost prediction already doubled from 900 billion to 1.8 trillion.

[QUOTE="HoolaHoopMan"] Nearly half the US public believes that man was created in his current form as well. Which means that most of the US public is scientifically illiterate. But please keep using logical fallacies to back up your stance. Its cute. HoolaHoopMan

Look at latest polls....out of 21 issues for government, global warming comes in dead last (21/21) in terms of importance.

Only 35% think global warming is a serious issue.

And 64 percent of Americans don't view global warming as a threat.

And all of those polls were taken before we learned the IPCC's past predictions were way off by overestimating climate sensitivity.

Boy you're dense.  Public opinion is meaningless to the validity global warming.  The majority of the public could believe that the Sun revolves around the Earth, but does that make it true?

And I love it how the IPCC report you claimed would devastate the scientific community declared that with a 95% certainty rate that man is driving the current warming trend.

You're beyond delusional Hokie.  Its not even funny anymore.

Global warming is real. Climate change has always happened.

Humans driving the climate is a hoax or faith. IPCC way overestimated the impact of CO2 and climate sensitivity.
