[QUOTE="Coolboy420x"]We (PS3 community) wait for all these potentially awsome games all year long and when they are released with great reviews etc, we always forget ONE MAJOR THING b4 buying these games: "THEY ARE PORTS!!" It has been custom for devs to build the games on 360 and then port it to PS3 later on. 90% of the trailers you watch for multiplatform games are running on 360. PS3 has yet to win this battle! let me name a few recent ones - First FRYCRY 2 and now Fallout 3. You can add games such as RE5, Prince Of Persia, and COD5 soon to this list. idk761

Actually Far Cry 2 won, I will try to find the source, where the Devs say the game runs better on PS3

FC2 runs amazing on the ps3...I can't say anything for the 360...but zero problems on the ps3 so far on my end.

honestly, i cant say that this game is plagued with bugs since i've only invested 30 mins into it. but considering the percentage of bugs to the time spent playing, the ratio is pretty bad. skipping audio on the opening scene? i mean, come on... that's just unforgivable. the "stuck in a chair" thing is also just a little absurd, especially now since a few of you have said it happened to your copy too. so plagued? no... too early to tell, but you can bet your jaggied, overshadowed fanny that i'm not gonna go into the next few hours of the game without nit picking now. mrpear

The audio bug was like half a second :|.

Personally didn't get the chair bug (I think it has to do with how you handle the situation outside the classroom...) sorry to hear you got it.

I just rented it like an hour and a half ago and i havent seen any problem yet and i will end up buying it and putting it right next to my copy of oblivion.

The problems that they say are not true when i was going to tenpenny tower it was a good 5-10 minute real time walk in the game and i could see it loud and clear so the draw distance isnt really noticeable.

for crimmeny sakes its not that freakin bad.

juno_22

go play the 360 version the difference is huge when you have played both. the 360 version in 1080p is way better then the PS3 version. not a fanboy i bought the PS3 version first thinking it would be better lol i love my PS3 :D (more than my 360 ;) )

You aren't actually playing the game at 1080p :|. 360 upscales everything to 1080. Native for f3 is 720p I believe. Anyways, yah, the textures are suppose to look a bit better on the 360 (not as muddy if you sit there staring at the textures) and the draw distances are a tad longer.

[QUOTE="Avistann"]Don't freak out on me but i am just wondering about the people who are complaining, have you even tried the game yet?Choco_Taco

I'm curious as well, the feedback I've been getting from those who have been playing the actual game has been good.

Hrmmm.

I've just started playing so I can't comment on some of the issues that people are talking about. BUT my game pauses every time someone sends me a message or logs on/off the network until the notification disappears. IT'S REALLY ANNOYING!!! That's my biggest gripe so far and hopefully it gets patched

Yah bro this is the biggest complaint that almost all reviewers had... To fix it simply log off, if this isn't an option for you or you would rather not...then go into your options and turn the "notifications" off.

Hope that helps

PS3 owners demand a fix for the graphical glitches!!!

And We want trophies, how come 360 got achievements and we don't get trophies???

We paid good money for the game, we keep believing in your company, so Bethesda, we demand a PATCH fixing this!

Cexr

Sorry man, I'm not too sure what graphical glitches you're talking about. If you are talking about the floating eyes and hair, well I haven't seen it yet. Graphically, well this game is absolutely STUNNING.

Trophies? Meh, I could care less about trophies, sure they are a nice "bonus" to have, but it's not a deal breaker for me or something to cry over. Besides, these can easily be implemented down the road. If that's the case then it will just be another nice little bonus to have while replayings this fabulous game.

This game is ballin, I really need to get through with far cry 2 so I can focus my time on Fallout 3. Then again, FC2 is giving me loads of fun and I don't particularly want to "rush" it :P.

So many good gameS!! I haven't even bought LBP yet or deadspace either !! Then we have CoD5: WaW (I love ww2 games...Personally I just want this game for the single player...) and R2!...oh my oh my...

Its simply not a big deal because it doesn't happen enough to be a problem? I've already played for an hour with no problems. In fact many people have been playing it without encountering any of these so called "major bugs" you are all crying about.

As for the reviewers saying the graphics were noticebly worse on the ps3...ummmm actually they said if you look up close at some textures they may seem mudier on the ps3. Also that some objects may seem jaggier. Ive personally played the damn game and it looks as good as any other ps3 game out there.

Like I say over and over. Most of you over react about EVERYTHING.

For those of you who are curious, IGN goes in to detail on all of the issues on the PS3 version in their video review. Apparently characters have a glitchy aura that makes them look cell shaded, sometimes heads disappear leaving only hair and eyes, also sound glitches abound.

If you enjoy talking to floating hair and eyeballs, then perhaps the PS3 version could be seen as equal...

TheSystemLord1

lolol and they also said it doesn't happen all the time. Also if thats the case then restart once and it will be fixed they said.

Very simple solutions. Don't try to make things out to be bigger then they are.

Ok... I got my PS# version, and it runs just fine and looks fine. I bet that to see these "bugs", you'd have to be like 1 inch from the tv to get a glimpse at them. F**k the arguments, enjoy the version u want, be it ps3, 360 or pc. The game is a masterpiece.mordogox

well said bro.

Btw ... the "inferior graphics", those just relate to objects in the distance being slightly jaggier and if you are reallllllllllly close to a wall or something staring at the textures, they may seem muddier lol

OK so I finally gave far cry 2 a break after 20 hours of gameplay (45% left or so...)

Anyways I really wanted to give fallout 3 a try before I went to watch some Hockey on the tele since everyone is complaining like the world is about to end.

Firstly, about fallout3 on the ps3...it is visually stunning!! Honestly, you won't be disatisfied with the visuals of this game. As for the gameplay, so far it has been very smooth without and framerate issues (of course I am only an hour in). There was a tinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny audio malfunction during the intro but that last only about .5 seconds. I also didn't run into the GOAT test bug. Hrmmm, perhaps lucky..So yes, one hour in (just about to escape the vault) and I have not ran into any bugs. Like IGN said in their review, the bugs should not effect your ability to enjoy this game on the PS3. So far so good.

Anyways, this game is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet so far, I totally look forward to putting a lot of hours into it :).

anime_gamer007

Yea, I was just talking to a friend on PSN who just got the game and he never encounter any bugs mentioned in the Fallout 3 GS review. The only thing he said is when you recieve messages the game freezes for like 2 seconds the goes back to normal. So maybe it's just certain discs?

I'm not particularly sure my friend. With the GOAT test it may have something to do with how you go about handling a situation before you go into the classroom...Not too sure.

Anyways, I knew I shouldn't have tryed fallout 3 b4 I was done far cry 2. Now I want to get on to fallout 3 and just blow peoples limbs off haha. I still wanted to see what all the whining was about. I knew it couldn't be as bad as half the people on here were making it out to be (most of which I am sure hadn't even played the game) and it wasn't.

Cop this game if you haven't...if you are thatttttttt worried that the little bugs will effect your game play then you may want to waitfor a patch (You would have to be the most cynical person in the world, the bugs arent that bad at all.)

***ONE LAST NOTE. If you want to play online and still be able to talk to your friends...just turn the notifications off and it works fine. Notifications are a biatch anyways ;)
