Small break...

Hey everyone!

I decided that instead of doing a top 10 list daily, i'd put one up every other day. that way, more people are more likely to see them. So that means i'll only have a blog up every other day. I'll still go only every day to comment on all ur blogs too, no worries.

So if you remember about a week ago, i mentioned that i didn't get my tech job on my school campus remember? Well, turns out one of the other RTA's in a different hall left too so they offered me his job! I'm so excited and my first meeting is today. On a practical note, my parents are treating it as a scholarship (they will pay me 20% of any scholarship i get for spending money) so i'm gonna be getting 1000 bucks a semester!! They decided to pay me a bit more than normal because I can't get a normal job now because this will take up all my time. I had to get a TV and microwave and a few more things to pay off so i can't get a ps3 this semester but probably by the end of this year, i'll have a ps3!!! YAY!!! So I'm pretty excited.

Well, I hope you all have liked my top 10 lists so far, there's still 8 more to go. Enjoy!

Top 10 Games of the Last 10 Years: 2000 (Part 1)

2000: the new millennium. I still remember exactly where I was when that clock struck midnight. I'm still upset that we didn't have a millennial fair (yay for references!) but it was overall a pretty awesome new year. As far as video games go, it was an incredible year. The Playstation 2 was released late in the year, the second competitor in the sixth generation console wars. While it didn't play much of a part in the best games of 2000, it was obvious to everyone that the PS2 would be a console to remember. Personally, I loved 2000 because my first 3D console really kicked some butt this year. This year was the Sega Dreamcast's glory year, without a doubt, but also the Playstation had some incredible games as well on its way out. To put everything in perspective, not one game on this list deserves anything less than a 9.5 score. So, let's get going!

10. Banjo-Tooie (November 19, 2000) - N64

Banjo-Tooie is the sequel to the hit platformer Banjo-Kazooie. At the time, when platformers were the most common games in existence, it was hard to find one that stood out. However, Banjo-Tooie, and its predecessor for that matter, brought home the cartoony graphics and a fun storyline along with great gameplay and plenty of things to do throughout their vast world. Also, the problem with platforming games was to find a healthy balance between kid-friendly and challenge. Many developers sacrificed the challenge in their games in order to open it up to children. However, this would stop any older gamers from buying it. However, Banjo-Tooie really bridged that gap with great, lovable characters and enough challenge for older gamers to still have fun with it.

9. Vagrant Story (May 15, 2000) - PS

Vagrant Story was the RPG purist's game in a flood of simplified games. Filled to the brim with complicated features such as its in-depth weapon creation system and its difficult balance with the chain attacks, Vagrant Story was tough even for people who grew up on RPG's. However, an incredible storyline, great graphics and even some throwback to Metal Gear Solid helps it out a lot. Funny how Square-Enix has a habit of taking years and years to make sequels for truly great games (I.e. Valkyrie Profile, Xenogears, etc., etc.). It's been years since Vagrant Story came out, maybe we'll be seeing a sequel soon? I wouldn't count on it fans. So, my advice is to enjoy the game that we've got. It sure is a great one.

8. Resident Evil: CODE: Veronica (February 29, 2000) - DC

Finally! The very first Dreamcast game to make this list. Not to mention, the very first survival horror game to make a top 10 list. Not that there haven't been great survival horror games before this, the earlier Resident Evil games, Silent Hill, there definitely have been. But none of them truly reached the quality of CODE Veronica. I'm fortunate to have had the pleasure of playing CODE Veronica when it first came out on the Dreamcast with one of my friends. This being both our first survival horror game, we never could even get into the mansion we were so terrified (I was 10 at the time, give me a break! :P) Overall though, this is the best classic Resident Evil game by far and should definitely be played by anyone who has even a remote interest in the genre.

7. Deus Ex (June 26, 2000) - PC

Similar to the System Shock games that came before it, Deus Ex combines RPG elements with intense First-Person Shooter action. The result is an incredible game that should be played by everyone. Set in a futuristic world, Deus Ex follows the story of a Special Forces agent who has received biological implants to improve his natural abilities. While some of the characters can feel very boring, the overall story and the world they all live in is far from it. Each area has plenty of things to do, hidden areas to find, people to talk to, items to collect/steal, that go way beyond the overall mission. In 2000, FPS's were straight forward, linear paths to the end and Deus Ex added something refreshing and new to this stale formula. It was a welcome change.

6. Skies of Arcadia (November 13, 2000) - DC

If you were in the loop during the Dreamcast era, you may remember the RPG battle between Skies of Arcadia and Grandia 2. Both games looked to revolutionize the genre with the power of the Dreamcast and it was hard to see which would overtake the other. However, as we all know, developer wars always have at least one victor, the gamers. When Overworks and Game Arts fought, the gamers received two of the best RPG's in history. Skies of Arcadia offered up something different in its unique world of disparate floating islands. Throw in a great story about pirates overtaking a corrupt empire and some of the most memorable characters in video game history, what more do you need? Fortunately for all of you who missed the Dreamcast, Skies of Arcadia Legends is out for the Gamecube. If you can find it, BUY IT! NOW!

Top 10 Games of the Last 10 Years: 2000 (Part 2)

5. Grandia 2 (December 6, 2000) - DC

Despite the greatness of Skies of Arcadia, I have to go with Grandia 2 as the winner of that battle but not by much. Grandia 2 added something that I'd never seen in an RPG before, a brand new battle system that was truly fun and exciting to play. It wasn't real-time unfortunately, but it did have you constantly on the edge of your seat. Think of Final Fantasy's Active Time Battle's but instead of each character having their own bar to fill up and all attacks taking the same time, everyone is placed on the same time bar. Once the bar got up about 3/4ths of the way, you would pick an attack and depending on the attack, the amount of time it took to actually execute the attack would change. Also, different moves could knock enemies farther back on the time bar, it was a constant battle of who could attack. If you were skilled, you could win battles without ever getting hurt. This made every battle interesting which only supplemented the incredible storyline and characters. Again, if you missed the Dreamcast, Grandia 2 is also on the PC and the PS2. If I had to pick one, I would go with the PS2 version but that's just me.

4. The Sims (January 31, 2000) - PC

I don't think The Sims really needs much explanation here since there shouldn't be anyone reading who hasn't played it or at least one of the sequels/expansions/ports/etc. If you search The Sims in Gamespot, you get 62 pages of games. Do you really need more explanation than that?

3. Diablo 2 (June 29, 2000) - PC

Diablo 2, IMO, gets the same treatment as Halo did. When it was first released, it received pretty high praise, no doubt about that, but all the reviews were far lower than they should be. Like Halo, Diablo 2 had its strength in its longevity. People today still play Diablo 2 almost nine years after its release with the same fervor that they had in 2000. With a still thriving internet community now and people literally demanding a sequel into existence, how could Diablo 2 not be on this list?

2. Perfect Dark (May 22, 2000) - N64

Gamers have been debating for years which is better between Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark. The battle will rage on forever because there really isn't any way to debate. Both games are as close to perfect as an FPS will ever get. Perfect Dark is the only game I have ever stayed up all night to play. My friend and I battled for hours on end against bots, with bots and against aliens without ever getting bored. People have heard me say forever that co-op is the best thing that video games has ever done and since Perfect Dark was one of the first FPS's (if not the first) to implement it, that right there gives it a spot on my top 10 games for 2000. The quality of the game itself is what brings it up to my number 2 spot.

Katosepe's Game of the Year Award: 2000

•1. Chrono Cross (August 15, 2000) - PS

In my opinion, Chrono Cross is the best game ever made so when it came to my top 10 games of 2000, Chrono Cross was an easy winner. When I thought Chrono Trigger could not be topped, I played Chrono Cross and was just blown away. An intricate, beautiful story spanning two worlds with great characters, stunning graphics, and a new battle system that had never been used before and has never been picked up since that will revolutionize the way you look at RPG's make Chrono Cross more than deserving for its number one spot on this list as well as the perfect score from Gamespot and the numerous awards it has received. The only problem I could ever find with Chrono Cross is that there isn't a sequel out right now. Fortunately for all of you, Chrono Cross was recently put back into print by Square Enix so, if you hurry, you can experience this incredible game for no more than 20 bucks. If you pass up this deal and have a Playstation, I will hunt you down :P.

Katosepe's Console of the Year Award - Dreamcast

I want to start off by saying this was an incredibly tough decision. All of the systems were great this year and had some incredible additions to the gaming world. The reason I have to pick the Sega Dreamcast for this award is because it advanced technology this year more than any other system. The Playstation 2 had just been released, not even coming close to its full potential yet and the Playstation and Nintendo 64 were heading out the door. While we all know what happened to the Sega Dreamcast next year, in 2000, it was going strong, pumping out incredible games left and right. So in the end, I have to award the Dreamcast for its efforts. Great job.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Wormhole (???? 2000)
  • Power Stone 2 (August 23, 2000)
  • Valkyrie Profile (August 29, 2000)

Top 10 Games of the Last 10 Years: 1999 (Part 1)

I want to start off with a few things I forgot to mention in my last blog. First of all, this list is based off of the USA release dates, not the Japanese ones. That means a lot of games that were released in 1999 in Japan but 2000 in the US will have to wait till tomorrow. Also, I would have to say that overall, this blog is about 50/50 my opinion and reception. I'm taking everything into account, critic reviews and user reviews that I could find. Also, since these posts are really long, just scroll down to find part 2.So with those general rules out of the way, let's get going!

1999 was a big year for video games. The Playstation and Nintendo 64 were still going strong while the Dreamcast was finally released late in the year. 3D games had finally worked out their kinks and were really advancing significantly. Throughout all this advancement for consoles, PC's were really living out their glory days with plenty of amazing games being released for the good old computer.

Even though I was only nine years old during this year, I still remember when most of these games were released and a few I still have today. Since I was only nine at the time though, this one will probably be based more off of reception than my own opinions, since I only played a few of the games. However, don't fret, overall, I spent about 6 hours preparing for this blog, literally looking through and examining over 600 games released throughout the year. So without further ado, here is my top 10 list for 1999!

10. Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings (September 30, 1999) - PC

I highly doubt there is a single person on here who has not, at some point in their lives, played the Age of Empires games. For me, the first game in the series was the first RTS that I really got a chance to play. When the second game in the series, Age of Kings was released, it was historic for gamers. If you missed the chance to play this game when it first came out, you are in luck. Age of Kings was just recently remade for the Nintendo DS and I've heard it's a pretty good port too. The simple fact that this game can be re-released almost 10 years after it was originally released and still be a great game is an indisputable testament to its deserving of a place on this list.

9. Donkey Kong 64 (October 31, 1999) - N64

Many people, me included, mourn the loss of the Donkey Kong platformer. Now we get a whole bunch of bizarre drum beating games and jungle vine jumping games that it's like Nintendo's using Donkey Kong's famous punch to beat us down over and over again. In '99 though, we all got to enjoy the last good Donkey Kong game and his first jump into 3D. While it was very different from his previous adventures, Donkey Kong 64 received pretty great reviews and was tons of fun to play. How we all wish for a return to those days :(.

8. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 (February 28, 1999) - PC

Nowadays, people hear the name Heroes of Might and Magic and literally cringe. While there is nothing particularly wrong with the series, it's one of those series that has just been rehashed too many times for it to even be considered as more than an afternoon of fun. On the other hand, a series that has been around as long as Heroes of Might and Magic had to have been great at some point. HoMaM3 was that point. It marked the climax of the Heroes series and was generally accepted as the best game in the series.

7. Quake 3 Arena (December 2, 1999) - PC

Quake is a staple among gamers who feel an extreme need to frag as many people as humanly possible. Quake 3 Arena, like Heroes of Might and Magic 3, marked the best in the Quake legacy. Ironically enough, Quake really gained its glory when it dropped its single player game completely. Quake 3 Arena was made completely as a multiplayer game. The single player that is there is essentially training for multiplayer. Once you jump online, it's a crazy frag fest with some of the best graphics for '99. Overall, a great multiplayer game and definitely one of the best FPS's of the year.

6. Homeworld (August 31, 1999) - PC

Homeworld was to RTS's what Chrono Cross was to RPG's. Both were absolutely spectacular and utilized tons of new systems and features that, for whatever reason, were never used again. The first new thing about Homeworld is that the whole world is in 3D, since you fight in space, so it adds a whole new dimension, literally, to the genre. Also, instead of simply starting each single player mission with a new team of people, your one army must survive all 16 missions, with resources, damaged units, research all transferring on with you throughout the campaign. Homeworld is truly a unique game in the genre and a great game overall.

Top 10 Games of the Last 10 Years: 1999 (Part 2)

5. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (August 31, 1999) - PS

While the genre may feel bloated now, remember that in 1999, this was the first game of it's kind. Tony Hawk Pro Skater opened up a new world to plenty of non-skating gamers. Suddenly, people knew what an Indy was and just how impressive it was for Hawk to pull off a 900. With its massive amount of goals and cool secrets hidden in each of it's many courses, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater was a truly big game that appealed to more than just skate fans. For a game to do that is truly impressive.

4. Rayman 2: The Great Escape (October 31, 1999) - N64

After Rayman, the first game in the series, people knew and enjoyed the character but desperately craved more from the massively overdone 2D platforming genre. Now that technology was advanced enough, Ubisoft was able to give the fans what they wanted. Rayman 2: The Great Escape was released to truly show what 3D platformers could do. Throw together a great, surreal world and an actually pretty exciting plot with that original Rayman charm and it would have been difficult for Ubisoft to screw up. Even today, after Rayman's clear downfall into subpar mini-game mash-ups, Rayman 2: The Great Escape remains an incredible testament to how fun platformers can be.

3. System Shock 2 (July 31, 1999) - PC

After the original was held down by untrue rumors about what kind of game it was, System Shock 2 was released to the public, ready and able to show the world what kind of game it really was. Similar to the original Deus Ex, System Shock 2 is an FPS at first glance but it has heavy RPG influences. While reviews were sometimes subpar for System Shock 2, I can cheat and know now just how much of a classic the game truly was. If you doubt that System Shock 2 belongs on this list, just look at what came out of the series: Bioshock, one of the best 360/PS3 games out there. OWNED!

2. FreeSpace 2 (September 30, 1999) - PC

FreeSpace came at a time when spaceship sims were dominated by one of the few good Star Wars series in existence: Star Wars: X-wing. Wing Commander also was dominating the genre but then FreeSpace came in and blasted it wide open. Its sequel had a lot to live up to and it more than managed. Awarded with several 'Game of the Year' awards and respected as one of the best games in the genre, FreeSpace 2 really showed the world what a good story can do for a game. While the gameplay and graphics are spectacular, the storyline is very deep and dark for its time. Many people played the game simply to hear the story behind it, a very rare thing for 1999. Overall, it would have been the game of the year for me if it weren't for....

Katosepe's Game of the Year Award: 1999

1. Final Fantasy VIII (September 7, 1999) - PS

In my opinion, Final Fantasy VIII is the best game in the series and even most Final Fantasy VII fans, VIII comes in at a close second. A gigantic quest spanning four disks, amazing characters, stunning graphics and one of the best storylines ever made this an obvious winner for Game of the Year. I know this is a short description but I don't think it really needs all that much of a recommendation for me. If you don't know about the game already, you need to crawl out from under your rock and find a copy. There is a PC port available but I would only recommend it if you absolutely cannot get the original PS version. I've played both and, to be honest, the port feels like a bad emulation, even giving you tutorials with the Playstation controls. However, if you do not have any Playstation console, I highly recommend you buy it to experience the greatness for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Katosepe's Console of the Year Award: 1999 - PC

Truly dominating this year, the PC had seven of the ten games that won (Rayman 2: The Great Escape was also released for the PC at the same time) not counting Final Fantasy VIII's port which was significantly worse. To explain this unusual event, 1999 was nearing the end of the Playstation and Nintendo 64 while the Dreamcast had only just come into play with very few good games. Not to undermine the PC's success however, it had an absolutely amazing run, filled to the brim with great games of all genres. 1999 truly was a glorious year for the PC.

Honorable Mentions:

•Â· Worms Armageddon (May 31, 1999) - PC

•Â· Little Fighter 2 (???????, 1999) - PC

•Â· Planescape: Torment (November 30, 1999) - PC

•Â· Final Fantasy Anthology (September 30, 1999) - PS

I hope you enjoyed looking back at these great games from the past! Look forward to 2000 tomorrow!

Top 10 Games for the Last 10 Years: Preview

So today, I decided that I wanted to do a new kind of blog series. Every once in a while, people do a top 10 games of all time blog and every year, people do a top 10 for the year. I decided to combine the two together and every day for the next 10 days, I'm going to decide on my top 10 games for each of the last 10 years. The descriptions of the games won't be incredibly in-depth to ensure that the blog doesn't become too long but I am going to do a lot of research into each year. Ok well, look forward to 1999 starting tomorrow! Peace friends!

TV Shows

Hey everyone! You've probably noticed, if you've been reading my last few blogs, how little has been going on as far as video games go. So I decided that today would be a good day to update my TV show list. In high school, the only show I watched was Lost but since I have more time in college (since i have 2-3 hours of class a day), I've picked up a few more shows to make up for the added time. I now have six shows and here I'll go through them in order of how much I like them.

6. Lie to Me

Lie To Me

Lie to Me is a brand new show on Fox Television about a private team of human lie detectors. It's only gone through three episodes and I'm still debating whether or not I want to stick with it. It's about these four people who are all experts in human emotions and can detect what people are really feeling, like advanced polygraph machines. The government and other agencies then end up hiring these people to find out the truth behind various events and crimes. The storylines and concepts aren't anything that great but the characters themselves are VERY well done. The main character is a fascinating characters similar to House. The girl on the right is a very nice character who has her own problems to deal with in the form of a cheating husband. The girl on the left is a newbie to the team and is a "natural" to lie detecting. This means she doesn't know the science behind detecting lies but she's naturally talented at detecting people's true feelings. Finally, the guy in the back is the comedic relief for the show in that he has sworn to tell the truth all the time. This not only means he answers questions truthfully but he says ANYTHING that is on his mind at any given time. This ends up being pretty funny. All in all, a great cast of characters, hopefully the storylines gain something unique to them in the future.

5. Heroes

Heroes Image

I picked an image from the first season on purpose. Trust me people, no one knows how far this show has fallen better than I do. And yet, I stick with it in hopes that it will regain the glory that it had in the beginning. For people who don't know, Heroes is about a group of normal people who gained special powers. The thing that makes this show different than the standard fantasy/sci-fi story is that the main characters are often forced to choose sides on a battle between someone who's really good and someone who's really not. Even if the main characters are good at heart, they often choose sides based off their own beliefs, sometimes not the right sides. Also, the god complex plays no part in this show since characters die left and right. In fact, three of the characters in this image die in the first season. Anyway, I highly recommend the first season of this show but after that, be warned.

4. Life on Mars (US Version)

Life on Mars Image

Life on Mars is a remake of a UK series that lasted for one season. To put it very simply, mix Lost with Law and Order and throw it all in 1973 in New York City and you have Life on Mars. It's about a cop named Sam Tyler (Jason O'Mara) who is a cop from 2008 who, after getting hit by a car, wakes up in 1973. From there, he joins the 125th precinct along with Ray, Anne and Gene. The problems arise from the fact that Sam is a very modern day cop, believing strongly in preserving evidence, criminal rights and other modern ideas. However, in 1973, these cops will do anything to exact justice. The series plays on an episode by episode storyline but all of it is tied together by Tyler's efforts to get back to his own time. The storyline is great but the best part of the show is the spectacular cast. The acting is some of the best i've ever seen from a TV show. There are truly no weak links anywhere here. The only downfall Life on Mars has is some odd pacing issues for the overall story. You'll find yourself a little too unsatisfied by the little hints they throw every few episodes.

3. Bones

Bones Image

Bones is by far the best crime show on television IMO. It's about a forensic anthropologist named Temperance Brennan (based on the real life Kathy Reichs) and her FBI partner Seely Booth. Joined by Brennan's (nicknamed Bones) team of forensic specialists, they work to solve murders where the bodies are often brutalized beyond recognition. The thing that sets Bones apart from other crime shows is that it often has crimes lasting more than simply one episode. This way of melding storylines together goes a long way towards bringing you into the show and hooking you for keeps. For example, Season 3 had a season long storyline about a secret society that literally ate their victims and created skeletons from the bones of all their victims. Each episode had it's own crime but every once in a while, they'd find another victim of this secret society which would bring them one step closer to the incredible conclusion. Also, each character has a lot of depth, something that is very much needed in the bloated crime show genre full of 2D characters. All of them are very likable in their own ways.I highly recommend this show to anyone who even has a remote interest in the crime genre.

2. Fringe

Fringe Image

Fringe is a brand new show this season and is actually one of the top rated new shows this year. When it first came out, it was advertised as an X-files for the new generation but it's evolved into so much more. After a plane crashs and everyone onboard was literally melted with no explanation, a new team is formed to combat a sinister new crime spree known as The Pattern. While this is technically a crime show, it's much more a sci-fi story that relies more on the overarching storyline rather than the individual crimes. It's hard to say much more than that about the storyline without spoiling it. With this show though, the acting is rather subpar at times but as long as you love the storyline, it won't keep you from enjoying the show. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys sci-fi or just a good mystery. Also has an incredibly strong online community and I believe an ARG is still going on for this show now.

1. Lost

Lost Image

This one should have been obvious to anyone who's read this blog for a long time. I've been obsessed with Lost since it first started about 4 and a half years ago. I've participated in two of the ARG's and learned about the third (that i unfortunately missed :( ) I've also seen all of the Lost: Missing Pieces mobisodes and talk to all kinds of people about theories almost constantly. I can pretty much guarantee that it will be my favorite throughout this year and the next which is going to be it's last season :'(. For those of you who have not heard of the Lost phenomenon, it's about a group of strangers who survive a plane crash on a strange island. While the characters all have mysterious pasts and are connected off the island as well, the real mystery of the show is what the island really is. It's hard to talk about it without spoiling the show, but lets just say that it is one of the most unique shows i've ever seen. This show is really the epitome of what TV shows can accomplish. I have never seen anything as great as this before. The only problem with Lost is that you really can't miss a single episode. It's so intricate and deep that you really have to watch each episode. This is fixed by the fact that every single episode is online on www.abc.com. I highly recommend that if you watch any show, check it out online.

Well, that's my TV list. All these shows are great IMO, not saying they're the best ever (other than Lost lol) but they are the best that i've caught on to. I'd easily recommend each of these shows to anyone (except for Heroes after season 1) and most of them can be found online pretty easily so if you're looking for something to watch other than anime, these are my suggestions. Enjoy friends! Peace!

Internet's Fixed!!!! YAAAAAAAAAY!!!

Ok so my internet was fixed last night. Turns out the entire floors router switch was busted and the guy came this morning to fix it. I'm so happy about that, i can actually stay on IM without having to sign back in every half hour :P. Also, I can actually blog without having to worry about all my stuff getting deleted. Ok so, the last few days for me. On friday, i got a call from the RTA people (if you remember from way back then, i applied to be an RTA) and I did not get the job :'(. As you can probably guess, i was really depressed because I had put everything into getting that job. As if to slap me in the face even further, after that, my gf and I already promised another girl that we would see He's Just Not That Into You. I'd give a more in-depth review but i wasn't paying very close attention. It's a little more depressing than most people thought it would be but I think my gf and her friend liked it. For the guys, it did have it's funny moments but most of it seemed just cheezy. Justin Long's in it though and he's pretty awesome. Badass pub owner who sleeps with tons of people lol.

Then Saturday came which still forbade me from wallowing in my failure because one of my gf's friends from MSU was coming over and we were all staying overnight in a hotel. Okay... first of all, by any person's reckoning, this sounds like a horrible idea. I'm depressed about something and haven't really gotten any time to myself and now I have to spend time with one of my gf's guy friends who has a HUGE crush on her and doesn't hide it at all. As if that weren't awkward enough, we were staying in a hotel together??? Of course, my gf says "well, you don't have to come if you don't want to". I don't think that even deserves commentary lol. But I end up going and it was actually hella fun and I'm glad for it. The most obvious benefit was that he uses a DC channel over at MSU and has TONS of music and movies and stuff which he brought over on an external hard drive. So we took turns downloading tons of stuff off the harddrive so i almost doubled my music collection lol. All in all, it just felt very chill and I was happy for it. Sunday was filled to the brim with homework but i got to play a little Witcher and finally finished chapter 1 (it's taking me a while cuz i'm trying to do every quest) Yesterday was my day back to classes and was when i had to tell everyone that i didn't get the job. Also, as if to humiliate me further, I had to actually go to the RTA office and ask them for help with the internet (since it was the routers problem, i couldn't do anything myself). I was 'helped' by one of the guys who interviewed me and the guy who actually got the job. They told me that the router was getting fixed tomorrow (this morning) but it was just overall a very humiliating event. Finally, I spent the remainder of the day playing Witcher and here I am today.

Oh and I just realized i should probably explain the gf. So yeah, she came back to me later and we decided to stay together through the semester until she transfers next year. I don't really want to date anyone else anyway so i was fine with it.

So, gaming-wise, i haven't been doing much but play The Witcher, which i LOVE! It's a great game and should be bought by any RPG fan. The only criticism i really have for it is that if you want to do all the sidequests, the pacing for the story is horrendous. Fortunately, most of the side-quests actually have a pretty good story for themselves and tie into the overall plot pretty well so it's not really all that bad at all. I'll make sure to have a raving review ready by the time I finish it. Okay, well peace everyone! Thanks for reading!

Internet Problems

Hey everyone, i know i've been rather absent lately but i actually do have a reason for it. My internet in my dorm room hasn't been working lately and cuts out on a regular basis. Sorry I haven't been able to talk to you all recently, hopefully it'll be fixed tonight. I gotta get this posted before it cuts out again so i'll talk to you all later! Peace friends!

I do not love Katy Perry

hey everyone! Short blog today. Two new things yesterday. First is I saw Hotel for Dogs... I'm not totally sure why but i did and it was fine for a nickelodeon (however you spell it) movie. The dogs were fun to watch and once you get past the child genius that the boy is, it's actually pretty fun to watch the gadgets he makes for the dogs. The plotline is cheezy and predictable but seriously, how much did you expect? lol. If you don't know, the movie is about two foster kids who want to find a safe place for their dog, Friday. They stumble across an abandoned hotel and two more dogs. This gets them and a few other kids to start up a hidden hotel for stray dogs. So yeah, overall, i'd give it a 6/10 which equates to about a 9/10 for a little kid movie lol.

The second and significantly cooler thing that happened yesterday was i finally got my 50 dollar gift card to gamestop from u.talk.back (survey site partnered with gamestop) so I went and got myself Star Ocean: Second Evolution. Haven't played it yet since i'm still working on The Witcher and Touch Detective. I'm happy to have it as a part of my collection though and i'll be sure to let you all know what i think when i start it! If it's even equal to the first Star Ocean though, i can guarantee i'll have nothing but raving reviews for it :). Peace everyone!
