What are graphics in a game that you do not like in a game?
I always turn of motion blur and DOF. Why would you ever want your total vision to me less clear? I hated them even more when I found it they were made to give games more of a movie feel. The desire to achieve movie like aesthetics are a current bane on game development in my opinion.
The consoles are not made for you because you're a PC gamer. The consoles are made for people who don't game that much and don't care about technical aspects. The consoles are made for people who just want to play the games they see on TV.
They need to be reeducated. They are fooled into believing they're having fun when they're not and their wrong opinions are hurting all of us.
Open world games will never ever release bug free. There isn't a QA department in the world big enough to account for all the bugs and glitches.
I think Bethesda games get a pass because they are so ambitious. There are a lot of systems in place in their games and you can interact with so many things and people in the world, more than any other game.
That said, I don't think they can afford to launch another game as rough as fallout 4. That engine looked old and outdated last Gen and now it just looks pathetic.
I heard that they are a making a brand new engine for Elder Scrolls VI! :D
@GoldenElementXL: Not to be a condescending asshole, but anyone with any sense knows that reviews from these website are worthless and have stopped reading them along ago. ;)
This year I'm getting $500 from my grandfather but I'm conflicted. As a platform I prefer the PC for its openness, but the games I prefer to play are Japanese games like that usually get crummy PC ports (I really like Dead or Alive which is terrible on PC ATM.) Another problem is that we may been moving to a small town in a year. My father is in medical school and most the places that are offering him positions for residency are these small towns that have terrible Internet connections so I may have to do without online play for 2-3 years.
I know we all disagree in taste of games and choices of platforms but do we really need all the direct insults and this tribe mentality? We have serious issues in our games today: disc-locked content, pre-order exclusive content, platform exclusive content, platform parity, inhumane work hours and low pay for developers, abusive online game communities, calls for censorship from non-gaming related political groups, games being purposefully optimized to run worst on different brands of GPUs, and now the microtransations in full price AAA games. Instead of arguing over minor crap that doesn't matter why don't unite against causes of actual harm to our hobby?
