Cool?bronxxbombersWhy do you never add anything to a discussion. If you don't care, don't post in the topic. There's no reason to spam. Anyway, that sounds awesome! LittleBigPlanet is one of the best games ever, and this will definitely enhance the experience. It will be DLC. I remember them specifically stating that they aren't really interested in doing a sequel when they can just add on to the original one through DLC.
[QUOTE="DeadMagazines"]Pretty lame to me. For a "detective" game it sure does hold your hand alot, basically telling you where everything is that needs to be checked out. Walk slowly til a pop up appears, press button, walk some more, quick time event conversation is triggered, repeat. But cows will say its about the story, since that's basically the only thing there is, and if the story sucks well..:lol:MizFitAwesome
They pass it off as innovative, when they had games like that on the 3DO and we all know the 3DO was a dominant platform....
It's not revolutionary... But it doesn't have to be. It's evolutionary. I don't think anything like this has been done to the degree of Heavy Rain, has it? Where's my Inglorious Basterds signature. I don't see it. Do you guys like it?That's pretty cool, I guess. I mean, I guess the only reason they really made it a game was so you can choose to make this happen or that happen, but I don't mind. That's awesome. As time goes on, I think movies will have more control over them. Choosing alternative paths and such. Just think about all the little instances in movies that have completely changed the course of the film. I'll give a recent example.
*SLIGHTSPOILERS!* The fake German in Inglorious Bastards used his index, middle, and ring fingers to represent three. In Germany, it is common to use the index middle, and thumb fingers instead. This little situation completely turned the tables of the movie, and had three Basterds die because of it. *END SLIGHT SPOILERS!*
Imagine controlling that, and then seeing what happens at the end. At first, I wasn't excited about this game, but it is essentially a movie with multi-paths. Even if I am not incredibly intrigued by the plot, it still has an interesting premise. I would really like if they started doing this with movies from way back when, ya know, changing what happens and seeing things from other perspectives.
I think Heavy Rain can reel in a few non-gamers. It's already on the "Blu-Ray system," soit could get a few.
Anyway, what do you guys think? I think it's pretty sweet. I just have no idea if these little events will have a little cut-scene that doesn't really affect the flow of the movie/game and change the course of it. They would have to have had put a lot of time in to designing all these different paths. It seems really time consuming if each one is as great as the standard cut-scenes.
[QUOTE="Kenfrot"][QUOTE="samusarmada"]1997....a bad year.....?OreoMilkshakeYes, I'm sorry, but Goldeneye 007, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart 64, Final Fantasy VII, Oddworld, Fallout, and such do not compare to 1998-2005 and 2007-2008. 1997 isn't that bad, but can it really measure up to the likes of the years I just mentioned? I think it's the best year for movies in awhile, though. I really did think Inglorious Basterds was excellent, despite there not being nearly as much action as I thought there would be. The plot was great, though, and every conversation was very tense, making you wonder what was going to happen next.Goldeneye outscored everything in those years except GTA 4 and MGS4. 1998: Ocarina of Time (10) 1999: Soul Calibur (10) 2000: Chrono Cross (10), Perfect Dark (9.9), and Wario Land 3 (9.8) 2001: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 Even then, Goldeneye 007 is one game, and I was speaking of my opinion strictly.

Batman i will remember :P
Right. Critically acclaimed to be THE best comic licensed game.... ever. And arguably the best game so far in 2009
2008: Batman: The Dark Knight becomes the most overrated film. 2009: Batman: Arkham Asylum becomes the most overrated video game. And I'm sure some graphic novel will come out next year with the success the wanna-be superhero is having. Here's hoping that Spider-Man 4 roundhouse-kicks Batman: The Dark Knight.World of Warcraft, because out of all of those games not one of them made quite as much of an impact on gaming, culturally and technically.[QUOTE="Kenfrot"]
I'm not sure if GameSpot has this on their site, but by the time 2010 comes around, who do you think will be nominated and win? I say:
- Super Mario Galaxy (1 or 2)
- Zelda Wii
- Metroid Prime
- Resident Evil 4
- World of Warcraft
- Final Fantasy XIII
- Scribblenauts
- Halo: Combat Evolved
- Grand Theft Auto III
- LittleBigPlanet
Metal Gear Solid 4 will not be nominated, and GameSpot will learn the error of their ways and apologize for not recognizing all their faults and getting caught in the hype. The list will also come down to Zelda Wii, World of Warcraft, and Metroid Prime. They will give honorable mentions to Half Life 2, Deus Ex, Banjo Tooie, Paper Mario, Final Fantasy IX, Warcraft III, Starcraft II, Diablo III, Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, Metroid Prime 3, Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal, Pikmin 2, and Inglorious Basterds just for being pure awesomeness.
What do you guys think?

I hate WoW btw. But unfortunately it's the truth.
Yeah, I forgot to mention that I think World of Warcraft will win. Whoops.
