Congrats on the new role! It seems almost natural for games writers to transition to game dev. Many of the writers I liked have all gone on to work on games in some form.

Annoying first post aside, I think Path of Exile handles microtransactions perfectly. The only things you can purchase are cosmetic stuff and extra inventory space (you already get plenty of space to begin with). You can't purchase in-game currency or gear, nor can you pay to level up your character.

@King9999: That happened to me once when I was continuing from standby.

EDIT: When I googled Warhawk and PS4 I found some exciting news. Lightbox Interactive (who greatly downsized and became a mobile developer after the commercial disappointment of Starhawk) says they would like to remaster Warhawk for the PS4.

That doesn't guarantee its going to happen, but there's hope and if it happened and did well, Warhawk 2 would certainly happen.

Well, game designer Dylan Jobe has apparently been considering the possibility; here's what he had to say on Twitter:

"I've been think alot lately about Warhawk remastered for PS4. Could be pretty spectacular."

Did you ever try Starhawk? If so, what did you think of it?

I played Starhawk when it was in beta. Sadly, I didn't play enough of it to form much of an opinion on it. I did like it, though. Bikes were fun to use.

It's a longshot, but I hope PS4 gets a new Warhawk at some point. I enjoyed PS3 Warhawk so much, and all the weapons and vehicles felt balanced. Zone was my favourite game mode.

Has anyone experienced occasional sound issues with their PS4? Sometimes when I boot up, the sound disappears and doesn't return. I have to reboot to fix the problem.

Skylanders is where Spyro went to die.

Literally or his career lol ?

His career. Crash too, if Activision still has the rights and decides to put him in the game.

Warframe got a big update, everything's better now.

Question: how do you block? The wiki only has the command for the PC version.

I would say the SMT games qualify, but that's debatable because God is usually depicted as an asshole in the series, while the demons are the good guys. God is supposed to represent everything that's good, and demons are the opposite, but the games frequently turn that idea on its head.

The Ogre Battle games are another series where you can be a villain and end the game as such. The Knight of Lodis has a particularly crazy ending, but you'll only understand it if you played LUCT.

Got the PS4 about a week after launch. Someone didn't pick up their preorder, so it went to me. :)

Anyone playing Warframe here? It's a pretty fun game once you know how to play. I find myself spending a lot of time on that game.

Add me: mmking9999

A little bit of a nagging issue that the same button to slide is also to crawl. Love going John Woo and sliding past enemy cover to shoot them in the back, but sometimes I find myself going into a crouch trying to use it, which ain't pretty. But the game is actually surprisingly slick the deeper you get in. Really starts off very slow, to the point of boredom, but makes up for it when it starts to ramp things up after the first few areas.

The singleplayer exclusives for PS4 might be somewhat lacking right now, but the exclusive multiplayer stuff is quite good.

Sliding is so much fun. In one of the ice stages, I slid all the way down a hill. :)

Recently, I discovered there's a necromancer warframe after I saw a player summon a bunch of Grineer soldiers. I want that warframe badly.

Yeah, playing Warframe as a noob is interesting. You slowly see what is possible in the universe. I was playing a game this morning where someone had a flying drone hovering over their shoulder that sometimes delivered electric shocks to enemies (unless I'm mistaken it was an area attack).

I more or less hold up my end during raids, but there is a lot about this game I don't understand. With my Loki frame (only level 6) I just shoot and slash despite the fact I'm told in some of the loading screens its a weak fighter which has the power to alter the environment. I am kind of tempted to watch some Youtube tutorials about Warframe, but playing a game I know very little about (and slowly learning) is kind of refreshing.

Go here for any help: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki

I'm using the Loki warframe as well, and I find its abilities to be very useful. The Loki warframe basically requires you to be creative. You can do stuff like using Decoy on a high place, and then using Switch Teleport on the decoy to trade places with it. I recently equipped Radial Disarm and I find it to be pretty powerful, except it's useless against Infestation. It'll kill those chargers, though.
