"Too Human is number One!!! Betta than Diablo!!!"

vicmackey39
Actually the original post is mine. All blittzkid did was copy and paste and fanboy up the title.

Mark Bazon and Matt Casamassina from IGN weigh in with there impressions of Too Human. Trolls may wish to look away now..

"After waiting for what seemed like forever to get our hands on Too Human here in LA, Matt and I have had a chance to sit down with the game and try out a few of the ****s, and spend a few nights going through the single-player campaign. With Matt about two hours out from finishing the game on his own (using a Champion ****, I sat down tonight along with him and finished my first play-through of the game.

I'm a fan.

You've heard some of the complaints from people that have played it, and to an extent I can agree with a few of them. The camera isn't always spot on (though once I started using the LB to re-center it, I didn't have any trouble) and the story mode can be called relatively short, though basing the game's replayability on one trip through the game is like rating Diablo off of a quick trip down to hell (which took about three hours, mind you). So far I'd say I've put in about 18 hours into the game, and I don't even feel like I've scratched the surface.

We're only in the preview phase of the game, so I'm not going to break it down too much, but for those wondering how Matt and I have been liking the game so far, I'll speak for myself in saying that I'm a huge dungeon crawler fan, and for me personally, it has been a lot of fun. It's not perfect, and it won't be for everyone, but I'm having a blast with it so far. "

"I'm sure there will be those out there who hate Too Human. I get the feeling some people actually want to hate it. But I really don't think the hate is warranted. There is no effin' way in this life or the next Too Human can accurately be gauged a bad game. It's just not. Period. What it will boil down to, I think, is whether it's a great game or merely a good one."

yeah but 10+ years and it MAY just be a good game? I think that's a slap to the face of fans who have been following this game. Time will tell.VideoGameGuy

Oh come on now, this 10 year dev time bull needs to stop. Have you seen the ps1 or gamecube versions? All they share in common with this game is a name. Sk have essentially developed 3 different games called too human in that time, not to mention eternal darkness and twin snakes. THIS game has had 4 years dev time not 10.

- just seen later comment- my rant was not needed, lol. Someone always seems to believe this is true tho :)

Im afraid not dude, i think it was a post he made over on too human.net, but im not sure, or it might have been when he was on the ign podcast. Its hard to rewmember with denis, he posts a lot and all over the place.

A month and a half to make a demo is plenty of time, the game going gold, so early just means the have more time to concentrate on one. I'm expecting the demo sometime in july tho, giving at least three weeks for people to play around with it b4 release.

What scares me the most is that they still haven't released a demo for it. The game has gone gold for a while now, so what gives? I think they're scared that a demo might actually ruin potential sales. As for me, I still have no idea what this game is supposed to be, but I do like what I see, so AA is the hype I give it. Anything more than that would be foolish.xsubtownerx
Dyack has said they are making a fully fleshed out demo, to try and show off as many aspects of the game as possible. There not just ripping out a level from the game, so its going to take a little time to make. This game is still over a month and a half away, its not like they have left it to the last minute.

Some good info and gameplay for anyone actually intrested in the game .

It looks pretty sweet on the 1up show, im waiting till people have played it for more than a few hours, b4 i'll take their impressions seriously. It looks like its deeper than people think and will really come to life with high level characters and enemies. Im kinda pissed that some previewers, have put out what are essentially reviews, without having played the game fully or having final code. They were told that this was a "very old build", so they should hold off on **** about technical issues till they have the final game.

Its just semantics, master chief in another first person shooter, is halo4 as far as im concerned untill they name it something else. Halo wars, isn't set on any of the Halos, but its got the Halo name because its in the same universe and it will guarantee sales. I see no reason why bungie would ditch the Halo name for their next game, when its a sure way to gain hype. It doesn't prevent them from doing something original.
