[QUOTE="KirbyFan10101"][QUOTE="Javy03"] [QUOTE="akuma303x"]Why are the BR disk needed right now for gaming? The other systems all use the dvd medium right? So why dont cows ever argue it with hermits? Am I missing something? I may be. Anyone?Javy03
You do realize that the PS2 was also the first to use DVDs when Sega, others said CDs were enough and yet here we are. Right now in the second year of the 360s life it has LO and BD that will be multiple disk games.
Blu ray can ONLY help gaming not hurt it, NEEDING is a different story. In reality you dont NEED a console or a TV or monitor to game you can go whip out a good old board game and game it up.
Except that very same technology has infalted the price point to an absurd degree. Would people rather swap a disc every other game or shell out 200 dollars for an unproven format many won't even use for its real purpose.
The PS3 started off 100 dollars more then the 360 with a 20gb PS3 and a 20gb premium 360. The PS3 had all new technology ( cost alot of money), free online, and stable hardware while the 360 used an older format, was loud, and overheated and you say Blu ray making the PS3 100 dollars more then the 360 is absurd, I think the 360 only being 100 dollars cheaper at the start then the PS3 is absurd seeing what you get for it.
Yeah right, except the 20GB model never came to my country and a 60gb PS3 was almost twice as expensive as a 360. The only reason the PS3 was that close to the 360 in price was because Sony covered the costs themselves.
