@endorbr @dbene hence why collector's want their games in mint or near mint condition because most of the time, myself included, i'm barely home between jobs and girlfriend and the only nostalgia i get is from looking at my collection residing on my bookshelf. gamestop isn't going to ensure the game has a perfect box art or a nice crisp manual, hell they dont even require any of that now.
@Shenmue_Jehuty imagine buying earthbound from them for that price only to have the cart arrived with a torn faded sticker half peeled off with gamestop brand scotch tape holding the remainder on and you flip the cart over and it says ralphie's game on the back written in permanent marker with a post it note attached to the front saying "works like new, enjoy". yea... gamestop isn't known for their quality control.
@mike468 i doubt it'd affect prices at all. who in the hell would trade in their near mint copy of tales of destiny or any other game to a place like gamestop for 25% of its street value, no one. if gamestop even enters the scene it'll probably be the same policy for trading in their current shit, aka you don't need a manual or box or anything but the disc, and it can be scratched... collectors are older in general, they're not some kid who will fall for the scheme and if they are a kid then they can most likley download the game they want off psn or whatever.
