@forester057: You're for letting people "do their thing", regardless of the effect it has on anyone but yourself. Yeah that sounds like another Rand disciple.
Want to explain to me how your not a bigot when you align yourself with people who actively go out of their way to do harm to others with legislation like the bigoted religious freedom laws or the ridiculousness that led to the Flint water crisis? You don't rob the bank you just provide the safe house for the robber right? I guess you think that makes it okay.
Or maybe you think the rights of corporations are more important than humans. But I'd like to think that anyone with even a shred of decency in them wouldn't promote such a cruel ethos. Also as you fancy yourself a freedom lover and defender of the constitution I'm sure you find the concept of gerrymandering, which the conservatives have done to great success, to be an affront to every freedom loving person in this country. I mean intentionally distorting districts to minimize the ability of the masses to be represented as their numbers truly reflect?
Further you speak to the horrors of legislation that supposedly grants advantages to minorities, but is there not some degree of rubber-banding needed to makeup for literally hundreds of years of discrimination? Especially when instead of helping people to get up off the floor since the height of the civil rights movement the answer for the right has been to double down on regressive policies designed to make their lives harder? But yes, pretend racism isn't a problem and that protections aren't needed like the (at the time conservative) supreme court did when it gutted the voting rights act and Alabama pounced at a chance to make it more difficult for minority voters to participate in the electoral process.
But yes, keep protecting that constitution by putting monsters in office who would rather see people poisoned than get food stamps.
@forester057: Oh gee look who is the one throwing out conspiracy theories now. Yes the government is going to wrest control of cable from the hands of poor defenseless multi-national corporations with hundreds of billions of dollars. An argument that has absolutely no basis in reality. Regulation exists to stop companies from running amok like they are now. The trend towards bandwidth caps across the United States is disgusting given the ever falling cost of data and it's stifling tech. What's the point of 4k and, eventually, 8k when we will be stuck with ultra limited bandwidth except on special through-lines? There now exists a way to get speeds far in excess of what is possible over cable through traditional copper wire lines, but I'm willing to bet that the Telecom/Cable industry will do everything they can to bury this because they know that they could never get away with pulling the crap they have with cable over the more consumer protected copper lines.
But yes try to hide behind your so called love of the constitution. A typical tactic by extreme conservatives who are only able to discern things as black or white when reality is much more gray. Yes run away to your wingnut fringe fears where the government micro-manages every aspect of our lives like some bad cyberpunk novel. The same fringe that cites freedom of religion as justification to deny emergency medical treatment to a person because of their sexual orientation or skin color. Pretend it's okay that things like the Flint water crisis are happening because I'm sure you think that those food stamp kings in Flint deserved it.
@forester057: It's not a conspiracy. It's the simple reality of the situation. They are "earning a living" as you put it, by selling out the public interest, in this case a more competitive broadband market, for what? Connections? Campaign funding? But it's easy to see why they can get away with it when they have people like you who will willingly vote against their own self interest ready to defend them at any given moment.
But hey, as long as they keep folk who are as poor as dirt down by slashing their food stamps (who all apparently are driving Bentley's these days if you are to be believed) it's easy for you to look the other way while they let the nations infrastructure go to hell and do everything they can to stifle competition in areas where there should be more. You professed your love for the free market, but apparently you don't love it as much as you love kicking poor people while their down. Good to know.
All games that come out after a certain date, October 1st I think have to have Pro mode support. I'm honestly a little surprised that even this much older stuff is getting support. Some strange titles.
@forester057: Actually there would be a lot more competition in the ISP market if conservative lawmakers weren't doing everything they could to try and hamstring it from ever happening. But never let reality get in the way of corporate bootlicking.
@method115 : I believe their claim is that Lesnar isn't subject to the testing policy since he's only a part-time worker. Apparently it only applies to full-time workers.
The original is one of my favorite games of its era. The second game? It's fine too. I'll definitely grab this on PS4 if only for the community revival around it.
@esqueejy: It's good that it's not deceptive, but I still think it's inherently a bad practice. Certainly when a huge studio does it anyway. It shows a lack of confidence in the product to generate a positive buzz on its own, and is basically the equivalent of paying for product placement in a TV program.
Diving beyond the scope of this conversation, paid articles, specifically on this site, are exhausting. So tired of seeing Gamestop trade-in ads dominating the "news" feed.
