I saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie earlier. It was pretty good. In my opinion, it was much better than the first one. :D

I've been playing Perfect Dark Zero's multiplayer lately.

Damn, the trailer for Metal Gear Rising was sick. Looks like I'm actually gonna play something other than Final Fantasy XIII-2 next year.

EDIT: After seeing what the original planned MGR was supposed to be like, I'm kinda disappointed. The swordplay looked more fluid in the original.

And they not only changed the timeline from in between 2 and 4 to after 4 (I was really pumped to see what happened for myself), but they shat on Raiden's closure at the end of MGS4. Lame.

I haven't seen the new trailer yet. I lost interest after I found out they changed the timeline...

Should tell me how the story is in Human Revolution. ;) The first Deus Ex game was known for it's amazing story.

Congratulations on completing it, by the way. ;)

I made it to the final boss in Deus Ex last night. :D[QUOTE="Konamic"]

In a couple weeks, an out-of-state friend will be staying here for about a week. Plus, my graduation party is on the 30th. So anyway, I don't really want to start on anything new until next month since I'll be pretty busy for the remainder of the year. I'll probably just be playing multiplayer games until then. :P

VideoGamerNerd

Ah. Well I hope everything goes well for you! :P

Thanks. :)

I hope everything goes well with that final boss... :P

I actually felt FFX started off really strong. You get to see an entire city get pretty much reduced to ruin. That's pretty badass. It was when you got to Besaid that the game really slowed down.

It did have its moments, like that fight against Sin on... that one mountain. I can't remember what it was called, it came after that really long road after the Blitzball tournament. Fighting Yunalesca. Taking on Sin head-to-head on the airship. And the soundtrack was one of my favorites in the series.

But damn, the game DRAGGED in places. Pretty much everything between Besaid to that big climactic fight with Sin was boring as hell. Then the game dragged until you get to Home. Then again until you get to Yunalesca's place. After that, it was pretty much a good pace. Bad pacing like that is a big no-no for such a story focused game.

Oh, and I didn't care for any of the cast except Auron. Another big no-no for a character heavy story.

DrAwesomeMD

Yeah, the Zanarkand part was great, but the game slows down immediately afterwards; which is about 15 minutes into the game.

I agree, the game did drag on in certain parts. But for some reason, that really didn't really bother me since I was so interested in the plot. I loved the way the game handled certain rare issues you usually don't see very often in games. (e.g. racism)

I thought the cast was excellent. I honestly think Final Fantasy X has the best cast in the entire series. I thought it was really interesting how the characters' personalities and mentality change throughout the entire game.

I own FFX, and XIII. Final Fantasy XIII is the only FF game I've ever completed. :PVideoGamerNerd

You really ought to give FFX another chance someday. The story is brilliant, it might be my all-time favorite video game story. The character development is fantastic, better than in any other game I've ever played. Oh, and it has no doubt one of the most memorable video game soundtracks I have ever heard. ;) However, it does start off a bit slow.
