@cavs25 The only MMOs you can really hope for on consoles are usually FPS MMOs. And only on playstation. Microsoft doesnt appear to support MMOs. I hear its because they put bandwidth restrictions (Which I find funny considering they charge you for a monthly service).
The consoles will have hardware with what you would find in a modern high end PC? Uhh Yeah, the current specs would of been High End 4 years ago. I understand that they want to make a system to where its as cheap as possible but still performs well, but it is far from High end.
@ThePixelOmen same here, I honestly hope we can see some new stuff. Id like to see some truly open and immersive games. Next Gen's available Memory is like 6x that of last gen. Id be very disappointed if we see nothing but more linear games.
@Smokescreened84 Simple Solution to get players to buy your product and make money to the publishers? OFFER DISCOUNTS! Seriously, how often do you see discounts or sales on the scale that you see in places like on Steam for Xbox or PSN? Never...Maybe if your crappy rehashed game was 50% off more people would buy it.
Publishers Know this, if you actually make GOOD games players will buy them! If you continue to release trash that is clearly an unfinished product and are trying to cram DLC down your throats, less people will either not buy them or buy it used.
How about instead you offer a service that has discounts? Much like steam often does, very rarely do I ever see discounts for console titles, even after they are a year old or more.
Publishers are walking a fine line of breaking the First-Sale Law here.
So publishers are trying to go about and breaking the First-Sale Doctrine? What is with publishers and thinking they are better than everyone else? Its not like everyone goes out and just buys used games constantly. Maybe if you Offered more Sales and such instead of shoveling 60 dollar games down our throat even when the game is already 2 years old.
Many may hate programs like steam, But atleast I can buy my games for 10-30 dollars cheaper on this app, and still am able to play offline if I so choose too.
@FTB_Screamer I have a 3GB data cap, its roughly 20 dollars a month. Im sure Xbox would eat that up rather quickly with their constant updates and Doritos Ads.
@daniel79 @ewjiml @tionmedon I wouldnt exactly call Steam Owning my product considering the fact that I can play those said games Offline any time I want, whenever I want. Just think of it as an application that organizes my games in one place and what I play them through.
