@Sevenizz @Kooken58 You forget the fact that EA and Activision Dont Make the games, they are simply publishers. And yeah because we want more CODs every year right?
@ewjiml Yeah, Digital is useless on console because they have made it that way...offering no good deals. I dont understand why exactly. They save money from shipping and handling costs yet still charge the same amount of money for a digital copy.
Example, Metro Last Light I believe is $60 dollars on Console? I bought my copy on steam for $49.99
@daniel79 @tionmedon You know, You dont have to use Steam...Its no mandatory. Its just alot of PC gamers use it because it is convenient. Have all your games in one library and you dont have to be online to play said games (unless they are online multiplayer games). With the exception of EA and Activision Titles, most PC game titles are 10-20 dollars cheaper than you Console and solid copy counterpart.
@ewjiml @Kooken58 @musalala It would be nice to see Steam on consoles, maybe then Id use my console more. But im sure certain companies would hate that...cant be having steam sales and saving players money on console now!
@Sevenizz @tightwad34 And what are the benefits to having to be conveniently online every day? I dont have my Console near my PC, so it would be a complete hassle to pull out the cords and have to get a 50 foot long ethernet cord just to play a game on my xbox....I dont have to be online to turn my TV on or watch a movie. When my net does go out, it can often go out for a few days (I live in a rural area, as does much of those in the US)
I often use my console when my internet is being unstable or is down. (Mostly a PC gamer here)
@Sevenizz Honestly the only 2 Publishers who are most concerned over this are EA and Activision. They been all over the DRM thing (EA mostly) For the past few years....and Personally, The gaming world would be a better place without these 2 publishers. So if EA and activision refuse to support the PS4...Im sure it would be fine by most of us.
@musalala Digital content should always atleast be 10 dollars cheaper (Unless you are EA and Activision) Considering the fact that they do not have to package and Ship the products. So much like PC, Id see digital Purchases cheaper while the Solid Copies of games are a bit more...atleast from most companies.
Its rather funny, majority of PC digital games are from 40-50 dollars for a new release, unless it comes from EA and activision...then it is a full 60 dollar price tag, which doesnt really make much sense at all.
@hairdie @BurningJC007 depends on what games you play.FPS-wise More people Def play COD on console than on PC. while More people on PC play BF3, or Team Fortress 2. Ect.
@Vodoo @d3nR There are still a few companies out there that wouldnt screw their customers over like that. Because they know if they create the best game possible, players will buy their product. Instead of releasing the same crap every year.
