@COPMAN221ISBACK Long Story short...EA gave them a shit ton of money because they are not making enough from their nickle and diming of DLC. Maybe EA should realize that gamers will go out and buy a new copy of the game if its actually good and finished. If the game is crap (which a huge chunk of games have been lately) they are going to go for the cheaper route.
@SavageEvil Seems as if publishers and these companies see their products better than something as simple as a "Book" or a "TV". People have been buying and reselling their possessions for thousands of years...how come all of a sudden companies see it as a bad to them? Are they that desperate for money. The movie industry often requires more costs to create and distribute a movie but you dont see companies such as Warner Bros going out of their way to deny rental and resell of their movies.
@Liquid-San @sortajan @sylumcase @GSGuy321 Yup exactly, I stick with Windows XP until Windows 7 released. No need for Windows 9 anytime soon either unless they release DX12 for it or something.
@Gallowhand @sexyeyes79 Activision are looking more tame as of late compared to EA, but yeah...I still do not like activision, they sure do love milking a series dry.
@EVOchamp2015 Lets hope so. EA are mostly the ones that are in love with DRM, though its been proven that such features are just as easy to hack. Hell it took them less than a week to tweak with Sim City where you didnt have to play online and you could build outside the city region.
@sensei_hEnRY Your updates might be rather slow, depending on how large they are. It hasnt been said how much data it requires every 24 hours but I would say depending on updates it will prolly average about 20-50mb a day. (Who knows, depends on how many updates and adds they throw your way). For anyone who has data cap, this really does suck.
@GSGuy321 Cloud is completly flawed, for any game to run off the cloud, you would need a constant internet connection. Having a server thousands of miles away to compute data for you to have a possibly slightly faster machine is just retarded. What about those with lower intnernet connections? Latency will play a role in how well that said game will run. Unless you have some fiberoptic connection, which vast majority do not...this Cloud Game service is nothing but a waste and will offer nothing to make games better.
@jts1891 @Kooken58 @megaspiderweb09 Hmm Im still learning about Computer tech but I dont exactly get how This would magically make your console more powerful over time. You would think for this to work ones machine would have to be connected 24/7 while playing games connected to the cloud. It may ease stress off the CPU, but you still have GPU restrictions wouldnt you?
And if you lost connection to the internet, your game would just shut off or slow to a crawl. Seems like a wasted investment. Nothing wrong with a decent machine with fixed-specs.
