I've had a small issue with a contributor to Charmed and I'd like to address it. This user made some Notes submissions about Spanish titles for Charmed episodes and I approved them. The user then made some more, and I approved them. However there were over 50+ in my Queue at the time, and I was not able to approve them in the 7 day-alloted time for Editor's Queue. I had assumed the staff had approved them, and was rather shocked to learn today, after an angry message from the user, that the staff had rejected them. The staff had then recommended to the user that they speak to the editor, me because of "mass submissions". Unfortunately the user assumed I was being a jerk and decided to reject them, out of spite or something. Sadly that was not the case. I have not been able to be online every day like I used to and it's more like every 3-5 days.
I have since sent a PM to the user explaining the situation and recommended the submissions be resubmitted, and have also posted in the user's blog, as they decided to post a rant about me there too. I do want to apologize to all the recent contributors of my shows of the delays in approval. I've been working 6 days a week, for the past few weeks, and getting ready to move on March 1st and just have not been able to come online as much as I should and would like. I will definitely try more as I'm going back to only 5 workdays a week starting this week and things should get better.
One more thing I'd like to address, where the staff told this user to "speak to the editor about mass submissions", alot of people don't understand, that the rules of TV.com are that you should only submit so much in one day to a show. I have a busy life and unfortunately can't approve 70 submissions done in a matter of 2 days. I believe the rule is only about 10-15 per day and I've previously recommended to people no more than 20-25. Please keep this in mind. Thanks. :)
I think I'll go back to signing my approvals with my name, as I had switched to only signing rejections. That way people will know I'm approving or rejecting it, and if there's not a signature of mine, then it's the staff that did it.
