Ridiculous. Women don't game nearly as much as men.

If there is a big need for "balance" in the industry, go ahead and fund it while making millions doing it. That's the way the gaming industry works: needs create opportunities. Games don't exist to create role models for your daughters or to parent for you, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A ROLE MODEL FOR YOUR DAUGHTERS! It's not the gaming industry's fault you park your kids in front of a Wii all day and consider it parenting, then complain when it doesn't parent the way you want. E3 is an industry show, it's not a field trip for your daughter.

I've always found Carolyn's reviews honest. Forget the score, just read the review. It's overwhelmingly positive.

PS4 looks massively underwhelming to me. Things like uploading game videos and linking to Facebook have been available on PC for over a decade.

I think a console needs a gimmick to distinguish itself like Wii, otherwise it's just a dumbed down version of the PC. The new CPU multicore architecture is expanding so fast that these consoles will be obsolete before release day, not to mention the explosion of GPU power.

@Zevvion @KristoffBrujah We have that already, it's called Youtube. I can find the walkthrough for any game I've ever looked for and usually more than one.

Again, what's so great about reinventing the wheel?

So, when is Facebook launching their console? Because that's all I'm seeing here, a social networking obsessed console. Nothing mentioned seems all that innovative or exciting.

Might as well stick to PC.

What a dreadfully boring console. I'm a PC gamer and therefore don't really care about the console wars, but how in the world can you still get excited about playing Mario et al?

Pumping out Yoshi Yarn, Yoshi Pea Soup, Yoshi Runs Around a Lampshade... I mean damn, how long until this gets boring? At some point you're just rewarding mediocrity and lack of imagination in gaming.

Capcom must not have paid Gamespot the required advertising fee to get an 8.

Not that I'm doubting Kevin as he is the best out there, but how often do you see a crap big budget game score 8's and 9's for essentially unoriginal rehashes?

Seems Bioware is following the typical EA crumble dance. Sad times for those of us who still have the boxes of the original BG. They were the company that first introduced me to CRPG and I will forever be grateful. But those times are over and sadly this is probably Bioware hitting the downslope. The crash is coming unless they get creative. Thank God I have Bethesda and CD Projekt Red.

Hopefully Bioware has learned their lesson and won't bother with MMO again. I always want Bioware to succeed, but in this case I'm glad they failed and hope that every MMO game they make is a failure. Focus on single player, there are plenty of developers for the MMO zombies.

Mr. VanOrd, you are a very good writer. Your writing quality wouldn't be out of place in the New York Times. My experience as a straight man indicates a shift toward gay acceptance, the silent majority of people from my generation supports gays. It's just the vocal minority of internet warriors who feel safe in their anonymity to abuse gays, that's all.
